I thought I was aware of all the snacks available ever made as a self confessed snackarama addict! So I was shocked in Sainsbury's when I come across these so I had to try, for research purposes of course! What Are They?.... Well in case you haven't heard of them either just to clarify they are called Walker's SunBites and I purchased them in original flavour however they also come in Oven Roasted Onion & Rosemary or Sour Cream & Cracked Black Pepper flavours. Packaging.... 28g recyclable tin foil vacuum packed 'for freshness' pack. On the front tells me clearly who they are by and what they are 'snacks'. They contain ... Read the complete review

I tried these crisps a few weeks ago as I won a voucher for a free multipack off a loaf of bread. I'm glad I tried them, as I was put off the price initially at around £1.50 for 6, because they are quite tasty snacks. Sun Bites are a newer addition to the Walker's range and are advertised as being healthier snacks. Being made by such a popular and respectable brand, I expected these to be of good quality and I think they are. There's been a lot of talk lately about healthy diets and the importance of whole grains. I think that if you take it all in though, you'll drive yourself crazy. The best thing to do is try to keep a balance, bear in mind ... Read the complete review

We all know that crisps are not exactly the healthiest snack in the world and I don't eat them very often but when I was out shopping in the Waitrose store close to where I live I was passing the crisps section saw these and thought I would give them a go. Now I know these are not exactly a new product as I have seen them before but this time my crisps craving sort of got the better of me. I went for the six pack of 'original flavour' which are basically ready salted. The bag does claim to provide 1/3 of your daily recomended amount of 'whole grains' and they claim that this product has 30% less fat than normal crisps so things were looking good so far. ... As a girl who lover her savoury snacks buy also wants to stay in shape, Walkers Sunbites seemed like a good option. However, I have often found that super healthy snacks either look or taste like cardboard and their lack of flavour pushes me to something more calorific and flavoursome. Once again this weekend on a family shop, I shot these into the trolley after having enjoyed them many times before, except now I was home, the mother was footing the food bill (yay!) so I felt even less guilty! I have only tried the original ones, but I adore them! They were purchased in a 6 bag multipack costing just over £1 for the pack. The packet is a baby blue colour on ... Read the complete review

It seems quite difficult to find these original flavour Walkers Sunbites in individual bags in shops. Occasionally Sainsbury's have them but they're fairly expensive for one bag. And they're not much cheaper as a multi-pack either. However I've discovered that a cheap shop called Home Bargains often sells individual bags for 10 pence each! Whenever they've got any in I make sure I stock up on them! Each crisp certainly looks healthy with all the little bits of grain clearly shown. They DO look like the picture on the front of the packet! They look a bit like mini corrugated cardboard pieces in my opinion! They tend to crunch into little pieces quite easily ...
