Walkers Sunbites Roasted Onion & Rosemary

Description: Manufacturer: Walkers / Bite size wholegrain snacks

... think puts a lot of people off trying them, however if you open your mind, and your mouth, they are absolutely delicious. Rosemary can be a bit floral for me, but they seem to have got the balance just right in the flavouring, and the onion isn't repulsive after you've eaten a la cheese and onion etc. I work in customer service, and I would have no qualms in munching these between customers (although I don't think I could eat a whole customer - lol). Overall, I would favour these over traditional potato crisps as I find ...more

Walkers Sunbites Roasted Onion & Rosemary I have to admit that I am writing this review about Walkers Sunbites Roasted Onion & Rosemary now simply because it is 12.15 a.m. now and it is too late to go out an buy it, but I cannot wait to buy some more tomorrow. I bought it the first time because I was attracted to the combination of roasted onion and rosemary and really curious as to how wholegrain snacks taste like, and now I buy it frequently because I know it tastes great. This snack is available everywhere for £1.37 in Asda and Tesco, £1.39 in Ocado, and £1.66 in Sainsbury's, and sometimes it is on offer: buy two for £2. Each ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Crispy crisps made with whole grains, full of flavour and go ... (506 words)

Always on the look out for lower calorie and lower fat forms of crisps I have purchased these a few times and found myself favouring them over snack a jacks recently. They can usually be found in the crisps and snack isle in the supermarket close to the walkers baked and weight watchers crisps - so you usually have a range of low fat ones to choose from. I purchased two multi pack bags of 6 today in Sainsburys as they were on the offer of 2 for £2.20. Which was a bargain as each 25g packet works out at just over 18p! One of those multi packs was the Oven Roasted Onion & Rosemary flavour. Each 25g packet contains: 117 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Walkers Sunbites Roasted Onion & Rosemary: The sunny snack (548 words)

I'm having a bit of an unorganised week and didn't have any food in the house for breakfast. I went into town, and when I was walking around Boots, decided to get myself a meal deal. Along with my sandwich and bottle of water, I struggled to find a third item. After a bit of perusing, I spotted Walkers SunBites. I have seen these before, but never tried them, so I decided I'd give them a go, and picked up a packet of the oven roasted onion and rosemary flavour. ~About the product~ These are a wholegrain snack. Walkers state that they contain 67% wholegrain, which apparently means they are bursting with goodness. Like other Walkers products, they are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Yummy Sunbites (303 words)

As you can tell from my previous reviews, I'm a bit of a crisp-aholic - I eat at least one bag most days, so am always on the lookout for something a little bit healthier, or something unusual. I paid £1.37 for a 6-bag multipack in Tesco, but are often on offer at £2 for £2 - not the cheapest crisps ever but comparable with other kinds. I love savoury flavours, so was tempted by the prospect of 'Oven-roasted onion and rosemary' - it was a combination of this, the attractive green packaging and prominent mention of Wholegrains on the bag which convinced me that these would probably be tasty as well as healthy. When I opened the bag, it didn't seem ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Walkers Sunbites Roasted Onion & Rosemary: Something a little different... (344 words)

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm crisps. Lush, right? I do love a bit of the old cheeky savoury snack of an evening, or as part of my lunch. And, like a few of you on here, I like to try things that are a little different. So I was intrigued by the new Walkers range of SunBites, when I spotted them on my weekly Tesco run. £1.37 for 6 bags, you say? Not bad! And when it is 2 for £2, even better (an offer Asda are also doing.). Walker's SunBites are prepared in SunSeed oil, an oil apparently 'lower in mono-unsaturates and lower in saturates'...which I guess has to be a good thing. They are also full of wholegrains, which provide nutrients and fibre-awesome. Also, they are ...  Read the complete review
