A Whole Lot of Goodness (well...for a crisp!) I love crisps. Crisps, as my hips and thighs will tell you, do not like me. Whe I was pregnant I had a bit of a thing for prawn cocktail Walkers, which I've never quite gotten over, so finding a good value, healthier way of eating crispy crisps has been, of course, on the top of my to-do list since having Eva. Himself discovered these. Sunbites. And sunny they certaily make me feel! they are crispier than crisps, more wholesome (full of wholegrain goodness!) and have less fat in them. All good. A full 28g bag only has 0.6 gramms of saturated fat, which is pretty good going. At 130 calories a bag, they ... Read the complete review

After my summer hols last month I was feeling rather podgy so I'm on a bit of a health kick at the moment and for the first time ever am counting calories. Two weeks in (and 5lbs down!), I was craving something really bad for me, something like ... CRISPS! I went to the shop to look for something pseudo-healthy like Snack-a-Jacks before I got too crazed and ended up scoffing a big tube of Pringles in one gobful, and there on the shelf next to them were these relatively new Walkers Sun Bites. I had seen these advertised but it was in my pre-podge days and I had pooh-poohed them, imagining them to be cardboardy and tasteless. But now being a fully paid up subscriber to ... Mmm I absolutely love Walker's SunBites but only 'Sour Cream and Cracked Black Pepper'. They've got a really delicious taste; really creamy with just a hint of pepper to give that little extra taste which is needed in any good crisp. When I had decided to "eat healthily" I wondered what I could have that would make me feel like I'd had my "treat" for the day without it actually being really fatty and bad for me. I was looking at this detox thing and it said wholegrains are really great and potentially good for your diet especially when you're cutting back. Then I found 'SunBites Wholegrain Snacks', with a really great taste and only 5g of ... Read the complete review

I'm not particularly good at healthy eating, I like chocolate, and all sorts of things that I know are bad for me really. I try to get around it by keeping to everything in moderation, but if I see something that claims to be a healthier alternative to the things I love, I'll give it a try. I was in the local coop shop this morning and I spotted packets of Sunbites, and I seemed to remember seeing an advert on the television that told me they were a healthier option for crisps, so I thought I would give them a try. The packet is a normal crisp packet size but it gives you the impression of wholesomeness with a picture of a blue sky and and a green ... Read the complete review

Every now and again I get health conscious and try to buy an alternative to crisps and fattening snacks. I came across sun bites after a colleague at work told me they were much better for me than crisps. Choosing sour cream and pepper, I parted with my 40p for a 25g pack and took it back to work to have with my lunch. The packaging for these snacks feels almost papery compared to the foil crisp packets I get so often. It's not made of paper and is almost the same as a crisp packet. The packet is designed to look wholesome with its brown and green colouring on the packet, with a sample picture of the snack you fill find inside the ... Read the complete review
