Advantages: Posh!, Not too expensive!
Disadvantages: A few more crisps in a bag would be nice...
Running a web site like take-6.co.uk teen lifestyle and entertainment portal, I regularly get sent samples of new products which are hitting the shelves. On Saturday I was sent a pack of the brand new Walkers Sensations flavour, Roasted Onion and Balsamic Vinegar, and I probably wouldn't have been introduced to the range at all if it hadn't been for that sample.
Sensations are what Walkers brand as their posh range of crisps, and they certainly make a nice change to the usual cheese and onion or salt and vinegar. Choose from slow roasted lamb and mint, sea salt and cracked black pepper, oven roasted chicken and thyme, chargrilled steak and peppercorn sauce or thai sweet chilli flavours.
Having become somewhat hooked to the range, yesterday I tried a bag of their sweet chilli flavour. First impression? They're gorgeous! A strong, delicious, spicy chilli flavour teams so well with properly cooked big crisps to make for a completely indulgent experience.
The packaging is nice, too - taking you right back to the roots of the crisp, when the potatoes are picked from long fields. Not a shiny gleam in sight on these old-fashioned yet spankingly-modern gorgeous snacks. And the price isn't exactly going to break the bank, either. For such a damned amazing tasting treat, these are fantastic at just 49p for 40g, RRP. All the flavours are available in this size bag and also in 150g bags.
