... bacon is smoked proper nice, it's perfect actually and the flavour goes wicked with brown or red sauce. I usually eat it in butties but sometimes I have it on a plate with bacon or I cut it up when it's cooked and put it in soup. It's the best bacon there is in my opinion and even though it's thin it tastes proper meaty and tastes loads better than any other bacon. It's easy to overcook so you have to be a bit careful but if you get it right then the bacon will be delish. It's quite expensive, my local shop charges £...more

When you fancy a bacon butty you've got to get the right bacon, sometimes I'll use whatever my mum's got in the fridge but if I'm feeling flush I'll pop to the shop and get a packet of Walls smoked bacon because it's the best available. I do mine under the grill because I'm not mad keen on fried food and it always comes out wicked and I've never managed to burn it or serve a half raw bacon butty even though I'm not the best cook in the world! lol I like this bacon because the slices are quite thin and there's hardly any fat on them. You don't get none of that gungy white stuff that comes out of cheap bacon, what is that anyway??? ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bacon sarnies all round! (565 words)

I do love a nice bacon sandwich but am rather picky about what bacon I use, I do like a certain amount of fat on my rashers but not too much. I also like to be able to cremate the fat without the bacon burning, I don't like each rasher to be too thick but it has to be thick enough for me to be able to taste it on a sandwich. This is why I love Walls Smoked Back Bacon so much, it's specially created to have less shrinkage than other brands of bacon and the fat is a very thin strip which cooks beautifully without fail. I love the fact that the bacon rashers are very thin, they cook in my George Foreman griller in less than 8 minutes and the meat ...  Read the complete review

I always try to have at least 1 pack of bacon in the fridge as it's so versatile & the whole family (including the pets) love it. The last pack I bought was from our local Spar & cost £1.19 for 8 good-sized rashers - it's not the cheapest bacon around but I always think Wall's get the taste & texture just right without too much fat around the edges. We have bacon butties at weekends ( with ketchup or brown sauce) but I also use chopped bacon in pasta dishes or in quiches & omelettes to add a bit of extra protein & texture to the dishes. I also like to wrap our turkey in bacon rashers at Christmas to stop the ...  Read the complete review
