Advantages: don't floatly white bits

Disadvantages: none really

Now if I said Wall's to you naturally sausages spring to mind, but hey lets leave them for another time and focus on what I had for my breakfast, bacon.
Yes Wall's do bacon also.

---A bit of history---
Wall's was established way back in 1786 by Richard Wall and yes they did sausages and bacon even back then from their market stall in St James Market in London and the business has continued to grow from there onwards and is still going strong today.
By 1834 the quality of Wall's was considered to be legendary and the company had to expand to meet the demand and by 1870 Walls opened their 1st factory. However, in 1994 Kerry Foods purchased Wall's sausage and bacon business and invested in new machinery in order to ensure that the business continued to grow. Even though Wall's was bought all the products still carry the Wall's name.

----Why did I buy Wall's bacon---
Well I fancied a bit of bacon for my breakfast and not having bought any on my last shopping trip I nipped round the corner to my local store which sell a bit of everything and this was the only bacon that they had in stock. Now as there was no choice I was obliged to purchase a pack of Wall's bacon, having first read the label to see that it was not smoked and the fact that it states on the package, less shrinkage, less white stuff and that the price was a reasonable £1.99 for eight rashers.

Now opening the packet I found that there was very little fat around the edge of each rasher and looked as though it had already been trimmed which is good as personally I detest the fat on bacon and always cut if off before I cook mine. The rashers are the same size as every other pack of back bacon you find on the super-market shelf but this will be more to do with the size of the pig it came from than anything else. Now having switched on my George Forman grill to pre-heat whist I opened the packet of bacon I was now ready for the shrinkage test. By using my George I can see exactly what comes out of my bacon in the drip tray.
Now off we go, OK now cooking your bacon we all know does not take long but does depend on whether you like it just cooked or crispy. I prefer something in the middle or just verging on crispy so plenty of opportunity for all the added water, white stuff, not sure exactly what this is and I really don't want to know as I may be put off bacon for life so I would rather remain ignorant. What is in my drip tray after 3 minutes, well not a lot very little watery stuff, no floating white bits and very little blobs of fat floating about, this is looking good. Come on lets face it we have all had bacon that has been pumped full of water and your rasher ends up drowning in the frying pan or the bottom of the grill is swimming. A couple more minutes then I will check the final result, my rashers nicely cooked and hopefully still roughly the same size as when I placed them on the grill.

---Did they shrink---
Well yes a little bit but not like other bacon I have had in the past where it ends up less than half the original uncooked size and all shrivelled up due to the high water content in the bacon. These are not shrivelled in any way but whether that is due to the fact that I cooked this on the George Forman or not I am not sure but I would think that even on a normal grill or in a frying pan these would keep their shape.

----The taste test---
Nice but not the best I have tasted, not too salty or bland and just right for a bacon sandwich with sauce but I would have preferred at bit more flavour to the bacon, maybe I am a little disappointed as the last time I bought bacon it was from a farm shop and straight from the pig and was delicious.

-----Would I buy this again---
Yes I would, my kids thought it was great due to the lack of fatty bits as they don't like bacon fat either but I should have bought two packets as there is now none left. Eight rashers don't last long in my house and cooking bacon is one sure fire way of getting my teenager daughter out of bed on a Sunday morning as she just can't resist a bit of bacon either.

So all in all a good buy, less shrinkage, less white stuff, there was none in my drip tray and a good taste, no wonder Wall's have called it Brilliant Bacon as it is not far off.

Summary: a nice tasty rasher

Mmmmm. I could just eat a bacon buttie...but as I'm at work right now, that's not really possible!
