Wall's Solero Exotic

Description: Exotic fruit sorbet and vanilla flavour ice cream.

Newest Review: ... tried the classic Mivvi lollies, which I like but can take them of leave. The Walls Exotic Solero is just in a whole other ... more

... league. Each lolly is nice and chunky and a good size but is only 99 calories (yes, I dont quite believe it either) and only 2.5g of fat. Which is remarkable for a 75g ice lolly. You get a thick sorbet casing with creamy vanilla ice cream laced with lines of orange pulp. The whole thing is just divine and exotic and fruity and refreshing but chunky (like a magnum without the chocolate). The list of ingredients is: exotic fruit blend (23%) (passion fruit, mango, peach, pineapple), water, sugar, orange pulp, vegetable...more

Premium Review Wall's Solero Exotic: Dreamy (600 words)

Solero Exotic Fruits ice cream lollies have to be my very favourite summer snack. Actually forget that, they are fantastic any time of year! I've loved them for as long as I can remember so I thought it was about time I reviewed them =) The bad news is that Solero Exotics aren't exactly the cheapest ice cream lollies you can buy. A pack of 3 will normally set you back £2.19 in Tesco. This isn't that great value for money, particularly if there are 2 or more people in your household who like them. So I tend to buy them when they are on offer. At the moment Tesco have them on offer for just £1 for a pack of 3 so get stocked up immediately!! Last month Morrisons ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Feeling fruity? (1720 words)

PRICE: £2.19 per box of 3 lollies (at my local Sainsburys) Some of you may be pleased that, as I'm reviewing two different flavours here of Solero Ice Cream Lollies, on this occasion I'm only going to give very basic nutritional information for each, and say that for both types of lolly, the ingredients largely revolve around multi fruit blends, syrups, vegetable fat, juices, natural colourings/flavourings and reconstituted skimmed milk. Neither of the two packets show any kind of dietary/allergy advice or warnings. Forever on the hunt this time of year for ice cream and/or ice lollies that aren't too evil in the department of fat and calories, I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wall's Solero Exotic: A very yummy ice cream for not too many calories! (316 words)

Solero is an ice cream lolly made by Walls. They do various flavours, but this review is for the Exotic flavour. The ice cream is oval in shape, and comes on a stick. The outside of the lolly is fruity flavoured ice, the inside is creamy ice cream with a swirl of the outer coating in the middle. The ice on the outside tastes very tropical, like a mix of mango and pineapple flavours, and it is the orange colour of mango flesh. The ice cream inside is white in colour, vanilla flavoured and very smooth and creamy. It's so yummy, it's hard to believe that this entire lolly only has 99 calories in it! The ice melts rather quickly (and if you ...  Read the complete review

Mmm Solero! If you like a fruity taste and like ice-cream, then you'll love Solero Exotic. You know you're getting quality with Walls because they're a prestigious company who have specialised in ice-cream for over 80 years. Walls launched Solero in 1996 and have since then become a popular summer treat sold at supermarkets & ice-cream stands. You can currently get Solero in 3 flavours: Solero Exotic Solero Blackberry Solero Strawberry This review is for the Exotic variety which comes in pretty brightcoloured packaging. You can buy these individually, for example at ice-cream stands, but that'll set you back £1 if not more. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wall's Solero Exotic: A fruity treat to the warmer weather (680 words)

During the recent bought of warm weather I thought I would treat myself to a Walls Solero as I am a big fan of these. What is a Solero, well it was first launched by Walls in 1994 and was the first ice cream lolly of its kind combining ice cream with a soft fruit puree - sound delicious then read on an I will tell you. Lets get the price bit out of the way, you can buy a pack of 3 for around £1.99 in most supermarkets though do look out for the BOGOF offers that are sometimes around as this really does make them a bargin. Mine on this occasion was bought in my local shop for £1.00 which seems to be the individual sale price across most newsagents ...  Read the complete review
