When it comes to white sliced bread, I usually prefer Warburtons because it lasts longer and freezes well, but their Danish bread did not come up to my expectations. This is a 400g loaf of bread in a light blue plastic bag type of wrapper. It is expensive at 83p for a half size loaf. A standard sized large Kingsmill loaf weighs in at 800g, and cost about £1.07 although bread comes in many different weights now, so this is certainly a highly priced loaf. This Danish bread is whipped up and very light so a loaf may look the same size as a standard large one but you are actually getting half the weight. The slices themselves are small so you will need ... Read the complete review

I am on a limited budget at times so I like to try new bread and other items when the budget allows and thanks to a new park-time job I've been able to pick up a loaf of this bread. 400g is around 70-75p in the big supermarkets and this is the perfect size for a couple of lunches so this usually lasts a couple of days in my house. This bread is provided in a polythene bag with a neck seal (which shows the best before date) and providing this bag is opened carefully it can be resealed for freshness. I find that this stays soft for a good few days on average and this is an ample amount of time in my house. However, this can be frozen (like most loaves) to be ... Read the complete review

Last Saturday, I had a craving for toasted bread with butter, so I went to the nearest supermarket to get a loaf of my favourite Walburton Danish white bread. Warburtons started as a grocery store in Bolton in 1870 and in 1897 started their first bakery business. Through the years, the company have kept up to date with new technology and style of management and have always kept the business within the family. The bakery is currently run by the fifth generation of the Warburtons family. The Warburtons range consists of different types of bread such white and wholemeal, bakery snacks such as teacakes and crumpets, rolls such as sandwich rolls and ... Read the complete review

I have tried a few types of bread but Warburtons Danish white bread became our favourite. We don't eat much bread, so I buy two loafs for a week for 3 of us (our younger son does not eat bread yet). ¤¤¤Packing¤¤¤ Warburtons Danish white bread comes out in a partially transparent partially light blue wrapper. You can easily see that this one is the Danish bread as it is written with large letters on it. It is a 400g loaf. ¤¤¤Price¤¤¤ I usually buy it in Sainsbury's for 0.74 pounds but I have seen it in Tesco as well, it was 0.83 as I remember. It is not a big difference after all. It is more expensive than other ... Read the complete review
