Advantages: Soft and light texture, nice eating on its own
Disadvantages: thin slices
Last Saturday, I had a craving for toasted bread with butter, so I went to the nearest supermarket to get a loaf of my favourite Walburton Danish white bread.
Warburtons started as a grocery store in Bolton in 1870 and in 1897 started their first bakery business. Through the years, the company have kept up to date with new technology and style of management and have always kept the business within the family. The bakery is currently run by the fifth generation of the Warburtons family.
The Warburtons range consists of different types of bread such white and wholemeal, bakery snacks such as teacakes and crumpets, rolls such as sandwich rolls and muffins.
My favourite is the Danish White bread. The bread has a light and soft texture. The bread taste nice on its own with butter though it is not easy to spread the butter or margarine as it is so soft. It is great as a sandwich and one of my favourite sandwiches with this bread is ham and lettuce, the softness of the bread together with the salty ham and crunchy lettuce is simply divine. When toasted, the bread has a crisp crust that is not thick and hard and it taste great with peanut butter or jam.
The individual slice of Danish White Bread is quite thin, it is easy to get carried away with a few slices, hence it never last long once it is opened.
Danish white bread has a low calorie count of 61 Kcal per slice and each loaf weighs 400g. It's available in most supermarkets and it cost 89p per loaf.
In conclusion, if you like soft and light bread, Danish white is a good choice to buy but if you like bread that is more substantial in volume and weight, then, this bread might not be ideal as you would need more slices.
Other than that, it is a delicious white bread.
Summary: My choice of white bread.
