I do like the odd slice of Fruit Cake, but this is much much better than Fruit Cake, and also better than Hot Cross Buns. I know Hot Cross Buns can be quite dry, and although they aren't overly thick, I just find them a little thick for my liking. I'm not that keen on Scones either. I came across this a few years ago when I worked in a small Co-op. The Warburton rep came in and gave us one of these to share and sample - always good when you get things for free, and i've picked up the off one ever since. Anyway, enough about the waffle, what about the product. Well this is from the Warburton's family, is a 400g loaf and costs around ... Read the complete review

Warburtons Hot Cross Bun Loaf is a limited edition for the Easter season. Apparently, according to their website this product was brought back by popular demand. I had never seen this product before until a few weeks ago when I was looking for hot cross buns or some sort of teacakes to munch on in the mornings and afternoon with a hot chocolate or a cup of tea. I found this near the buns and fruit loaf aisle just for a £1 at the time in TESCO but since writing this it has gone up to £1.39. ASDA has it for a £1 and maybe Iceland does too so you have to shop around. The product it self is a 400g loaf, wrapped in the usual plastic packaging for bread with a ... Read the complete review

Just close your eyes for a moment and think `Hot Cross Bun`, then keep them closed and think twice as moist and three times as tasty. Eureka! You have just imagined what the Warburton's Hot Cross Bun loaf is like. I bet you are reading this and thinking this is pure exaggeration. Well, you are wrong! Warburton's have created the ultimate, the most wondrous, the fruitiest Hot Cross bun loaf that has ever hit the market. Right, lets start from the beginning, the packaging is in the true Easter spirit, half of the bag is bright yellow and not only do Warburtons tell you that their Hot Cross Bun loaf is bursting with freshness they have also bedecked the ... Warburtons Hot Cross Bun Loaf.... I know I have been reviewing a lot of low fat products lately because of my healthier eating plan but I couldn't resist sharing the wondrous purchase that is this Hot Cross Bun Loaf. I only picked it up in Tesco because it has a slight reduction on it and was only £1. Its the sort of thing that my other half usually likes so I was buying it more for him than me. But of course late night munchies got the better of me and I gave in and had a slice. Then another. Then a third! So as I say this loaf set me back a mere £1 but the usual price I thin is around £1.30p. For that you get a loaf of bun type bread ... Read the complete review

I'm so pleased someone suggested this loaf to review - it is really good & there's just time to buy some of this 'Limited Edition' before Easter. If you love your hot cross buns then I'm sure you'll like this Warburtons Hot Cross Bun Loaf. In my opinion each slice has bags more flavour & is much more moist than the average hcb. The loaf is easy to find amongst the vast array of fruit loaves as it's bright yellow with a daffodil & the Warburton's logo. The loaf is packed in polythene & has one of those plastic tape packs to re-seal & to keep fresh & moist - unfortunately we didn't use it as each slice was devoured in only a ...
