Advantages: Soft, fresh and tasty every time
Disadvantages: Nothing
Warburtons is by far our favourite family loaf. When I first met my husband he refused to eat anything other than Warburtons medium sliced white bread, which I thought was strange. However when I tasted it for the first time I totally understood why, it really is delicious.
It is available from probably all supermarkets and is priced £1.29 for a 800g loaf, this is from Tesco's but I know the price will vary depending on where you buy it from. For your money you will get 18 slices of bread and two crusts. You can also buy it in 400g loafs but these are really small and not as good value for money.
It is always really fresh and soft when you buy it and it always lasts for a good few days. There is a display until date and a best before date, two days later and I find the bread always stays fresh until that date.
I have tried cheaper alternatives but have never found anything that comes anywhere close to the quality of warbutons.
We buy medium sliced bread but it is also available in thick and toastie. They are also fresh, soft and tasty loafs its just we prefer the medium size. You can also get warburtons brown bread which we also buy.
As a family of five we eat lots of bread, maybe we shouldn't as it isn't the healthiest food out there but when it is so nice to eat we just can't resist. I makes loverly toast and sandwiches.
The loaf provides you with nutritional advice and one slice of bread contains 94 calories which is 5% of an adult's guideline daily amount and just 1% of fat (0.8g) so I'm sure a couple of slices a day won't do any harm.
Asolutely the best bread there is and I think it would have to be something special to change my mind!
Summary: A bread that really is perfect.
