If I had a bigger budget then this would always be my bread of choice but sometimes I have to stick to cheaper products or just whatever is in the cupboard wherever I happen to be staying! This bread is provided in a paper style bag that is folded around the bread as if it's a wrapped up present and it's more unique than other loaves of bread and providing you are careful when opening the bag can easily be resealed and your bread will stay fresher for longer. I find that this stays soft for a good few days on average after purchasing and I normally freeze some when I get it so that I have a nice loaf in the freezer for toast at all times. The ... This is my fave bread ever but we hardly ever get to have it because the slices are so thick and the loaf goes down dead quick every time you take 2 slices out for a sandwich or toast. It's white bread that has been sliced extra thick to make it perfect for toast but I think it makes wicked doorstop sandwiches as well because the bread is so soft and tasty. Warburtons bread is always of brill quality but this one always seems even fresher probably because the slices are so nice and thick. The crust is nice as well because it's nice and thick and tastes completely different to the bread itself. The crust is a bit malty in flavour and crisps up even ... Read the complete review

Although I will happily sample the Value supermarket foods, the only bread I will buy is Warbutons which even though it's the most expensive is definitely the best in terms of value for money as far as I'm concerned. I used to eat Sainsbury's bread which was similar in taste and texture to Kingsmill (and not much cheaper either!) but one day about six years ago I bought Kingsmill Toastie, then just called Warburtons Thick Sliced, and have not looked back since. This bread is fantastic for most things, admittedly I'd rather use the Warburtons Medium Sliced for salad or ham sandwiches as I find the Toastie bread a little thick and doughy for this. However, if ... Read the complete review

Bread is the only thing that I don't compromise on. I've tried the cheaper brands and none of them came close to being edible (except perhaps Hovis, but even that was a push). Warburtons is the only bread I buy, normally I stick with the medium sliced in the blue wrap, but occasionally I'll get the Toastie. Of course there's no difference between the taste or quality of the two loaves, the only difference is the thickness of the slice. And because the Toastie is thicker there are less slices in the loaf, which means it's not cheap enough to buy on a regular basis. The extra thickness does make a huge difference though when you're ... Read the complete review

I have been using Warburtons Toastie Thick Sliced White bread for years now and absolutely love it, in fact I blame Warburtons for me being addicted to toast! Warburtons have been making bread since 1876 so they must be doing something right. Warburtons Toastie bread isn't just for toast, their bread is great for sandwiches too. As it is so thick it is great for filling you up when you are hungry. I believe it is the softest bread ever. At £1.29 it is expensive for a loaf of bread and recently with the credit crunch I decided to try out different lower priced brands of bread. I discovered that no other bread came close to matching the soft, ... Read the complete review
