 ... including "Oats and More", "Tracker" and some own brand ones, and most of them have been like eating a chewy mixture of cardboard and sawdust. Yum. (The prize for absolute worst, at least amongst the branded and more expensive range, goes to Oats and More, sawdust held together with glucose syrup. I'm dieting (you may already be bored of hearing about this, sorry, there is more to come, stay tuned for exciting ryvita and cottage cheese reviews....) so I am looking for healthier options. More fruit and vegetables, more grains, less fat, sugar and unfortunately less chocolate. Alpen bars are one of a whole range of cereal bars that try to tempt us into eating snacks by massaging our conscience. It is whole grain, apparently, and suitable for any time of day! Alpen Bars Fruit and Nut with Milk Chocolate I can't believe that mine is the first review of these bars... am I the only one who's addicted to these things? My mouth is watering from just looking at the box. Isn't it great when they add chocolate to every thing? Anyway, the chocolate is not the only reason why I bought this product; I always buy more than one cereal box every time I go shopping, because I like how they can make these healthy ingredients so yummy. This 174g box which contains six 29g bars is sold in Asda for £1.99, in Tesco for £1.91, and in Sainsbury's for £1.98. So, it's available everywhere and not very ...
