Weetabix Alpen Fruit & Nut With Chocolate ... for the body and mind. We can't promise a spanking new you, but we can put a spring in your step with the great taste of Alpen Fruit & Nut bars with Milk Chocolate. A moist and chewy combination of crispy rice & wheat flakes and juicy raisins, topped with chopped hazelnuts and almonds, and dipped in smooth milk chocolate.

... as 29g bars and apparently now have 30% more fruit in them. Immediately as you open the packet, the sweet smell of milk chocolate fills your nostrils with pleasure, and you can notice the quality of the bar pretty much straight away. Even the chocolate that is drizzled over the bar looks very decorative and tasty. I was surprised to find out how fruity they actually are, as most cereal bars have the dry, sour bits of fruit in them. These bars actually have grapes in them aswell as a few raisins and nuts, and ...more

Premium Review Weetabix Alpen Fruit & Nut With Chocolate: A quick fruity, chocolately snack (556 words)

At the moment, I'm going through a stage where I need a little snack mid-morning just to get me through to lunch-time. Instead of reaching straight for the crisps and chocolate which I would find very easy, I have been buying boxes of cereal bars to take with me to work. This week's box is Alpen Fruit and Nut with Milk Chocolate. In the days where I didn't really eat breakfast, I used to grab one of these Alpen bars on the way to work instead. So, I decided to have a change from my usual Special K bars and stuck these on to this week's Tesco order, just to see if I still like them. The multipack box contains five bars - it is a fairly flat cardboard box, not ...  Read the complete review

If there was one wish I could be granted this year, it would be a holiday abroad! Somewhere hot, where the sun doesn't set til nearer midnight and the blue sea glistens in the shine of the orange ball high up in the bright blue sky! Where your days are taken up with sunbathing, swimming and eating in fancy restaurants. Where you can go on a day trip and not have to worry about taking a jacket. Where the whole family comes together and has a joyful two weeks! Okay snap out of it, Laura. Sadly I know we are not going to be enjoy a holiday this year, however my grandma headed off to Corfu two weeks ago for a three week long holiday! Fortunatly we did gain ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Weetabix Alpen Fruit & Nut With Chocolate: Too good for rabbit food (390 words)

I'm dieting (you may already be bored of hearing about this, sorry, there is more to come, stay tuned for exciting ryvita and cottage cheese reviews....) so I am looking for healthier options. More fruit and vegetables, more grains, less fat, sugar and unfortunately less chocolate. Alpen bars are one of a whole range of cereal bars that try to tempt us into eating snacks by massaging our conscience. It is whole grain, apparently, and suitable for any time of day! (I do hate those snacks that can only be eaten at 11.25 on a Wednesday, don't you?) I've tried a few bars, including "Oats and More", "Tracker" and some own brand ones, and most of ...  Read the complete review

Alpen Bars Fruit and Nut with Milk Chocolate I can't believe that mine is the first review of these bars... am I the only one who's addicted to these things? My mouth is watering from just looking at the box. Isn't it great when they add chocolate to every thing? Anyway, the chocolate is not the only reason why I bought this product; I always buy more than one cereal box every time I go shopping, because I like how they can make these healthy ingredients so yummy. This 174g box which contains six 29g bars is sold in Asda for £1.99, in Tesco for £1.91, and in Sainsbury's for £1.98. So, it's available everywhere and not very ...  Read the complete review

Ok reviewing a food product that isn't chocolate, well ok it contains a little bit of chocolate, well the bottom half is coated in chocolate, Ok I admit it, I'm a chocoholic. I occasionally get a bit peckish around 11am and I'm often reaching for a chocolate bar or a few biscuits etc. I decided I needed something that was a bit more filling and perhaps slightly better for me with the emphasis on the slightly. I was aimlessly wondering round my local tesco direct when I saw these. Now I'm normally a "Kellogg's' chocolate chip elevenses bar" man but these caught my eye and decided to give them a go. They cost me £1.39 for a box of 5 bars which wasn't ...  Read the complete review
