Advantages: Taste great

This is a breakfast cereal from the very well known Weetbix company. These Weetabix minis are a twist on the traditional large plain Weetabix. They are much smaller that the standard biscuits and come in different flavours. You can get the minis which contain fruit and nut, a honey and nut flavour and the chocolate crisp flavour. The box I bought most recently was the chocolate crisp for my daughter.

The Minis are packaged in the traditional yellow box. There is a spoon on the front with a mini on the spoon so you can get an idea to the size of the biscuits. The word minis is in large print across the box.

The weetabix minis are high in fibre, wholegrain and are fortified with vitamins and minerals. The ingredients are:
Wholegrain Wheat (77%), Sugar, Plain Chocolate (13%) (Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, Flavouring), Salt, Flavouring, Niacin, Iron, Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Folic Acid

Each 36g serving contains:
Calories:
134kcal, 7% of your GDA
Sugar:
8.9g, 10% of your GDA
Fat:
1.9g, 3% of your GDA
Saturates:
1g, 5% of your GDA
Salt:
0.3g, 5% of your GDA

The biscuits themselves are about 3 cm in length and about 1.5cm wide. They are harder that traditional weetabix. They contain small chips of chocolate. They have a sheen to them before you add the milk. The smell is also very chocolatly. They are very nice firm bites and you can defiantely taste the chocolate. One of the good things to these bites is that they do not go soggy quickly as does traditional Weetabix. This pleased my daughter who dislikes soggy cereals. They have a nice texture and make a very healthy start to the day. They keep you feeling full throughout the morning.

The size box that I purchased was 450g.

They cost £1.69 and are available from supermarkets.

Summary: Healthy and tastes great
