Oatibix Bitesize Oatibix bitesize are one of the range launched onto the breakfast cereal market last year. Remember the advert - they're 'not-made-from-wheat-made-from-oats-instead-a-bix' or something along those lines. After the launch of Oatibix, Oatibix bitesize were introduced. Having already tried the Oatibix and not being too enamoured of them, my daughter wanted to try out the bite-sized version. The packaging looks tempting enough. Oatibix is emblazoned across the front of the box with the familiar Weetabix logo positioned in the top corner. The box states they're low in saturated fat with 100% wholegrain oats. They also have the ... Read the complete review

Weetabix Oatibix Bitesize now seem to have changed their name to Weetabix Oatibix Bites and you can have the plain version, or the sultana and apple version. However, I think that they also make a chocolate and raisin version. Weetabix Oatibix Bitesize used to be in a blue pack and when the name changed to Weetabix Oatibix Bites, the colour of the pack changed also. Weetabix Oatibix Bites are now in a yellow pack. The Oatibix Bites pack that I am reviewing is the Weetabix Oatibix Bites Sultana and Apple one. As stated earlier, the 550g pack is yellow with Oatibix Bites Sultana and Apple in bold black lettering on the front. There is also ... Read the complete review

First of all let me say this straight. I like Oatibix bitesize. The problem is that they could be so much more than they are. As a diabetic I'm drawn to products such as these, especially ones containing oats as they're a great slow-release food. The problem is that these are loaded with sugar. Even the plain ones have over 5g of sugar in a 36g serving, and that's before you put milk on it. I suspect that the sugar is used to "glue" the biscuits together because as soon as you pour milk on them, they go all mushy. Which I actually like, but some people won't. Part of the sugar content may well be the "pro-biotic" ... Read the complete review

This is my daily breakfast. First thing is preparation. If you don't let them sit in the milk for a while before you eat them they are hard as rock. About 3 minutes of soaking means that they soften up. I eat all the varietys - plain, apple and sultana and chocolate. The chocolate ones actually taste the best, a bit lie chocolate chip cookies. The problem is that having chocolate in them sort of defeats the object of eating a healthy breakfast. The plain ones are a bit boring but nevertheless taste nice. They are not too sweet and have a pleasant taste, a bit like nutri grain biscuits. The apple and sultana ones have a big drawback - the fruit pieces don't soften so they ... Read the complete review
