Have you ever had one of those mornings were nothing goes right? I got up early (just as well) got some of the housework done and then went to the cupboard to get out some cereal for the chilblains' breakfast. Shock! Horror! No ruddy cereal left. Some silly sausage has put an empty box back in the cupboard. So off I trudge to the ...  Read the complete review

Weetabix Oatibix is the new bix in town. Well it has been around for a while now but I am only just getting round to review them. Weeta's younger brother but boy oh boy he's just as tough, on the milk that is. What are Oatibix? Oatibix are identical to weetabix in shape, oblong shape with curved ends. Only difference ...  Read the complete review

Have you tried these? Have you noticed any difference in the taste? Right, I had to give these a go. You are probably widely aware of weetabix, which in themselves are a healthy but relatively tasteless breakfast, unless you put loads of sugar on them. Weetabix Oatibix are very similar to Weetabix, except they are made from Oats, instead of wheat. ...  Read the complete review

I am a big fan of Wheatabix and love them in the morning with milk and a bit of honey. Recently, I've found out that I can't eat wheat which means no more weatabix for me- boo! Luckily, Weatabix have brought out Oatibix! I didn't expect them to taste like wheatabix but thought I'd give them a try as I'm limited to what cereal I can eat ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Weetabix Oatibix: Get your daily oats, with Oatibix! (482 words)
by - written on 08/09/09 (Very useful, 10 readings)
Rating:

As the advert says, Oatibix might well be called 'Not -Made-From-Wheat-Made-From-Oats-Instead-Abix'. It is another whole grain cereal from the Weetabix brand, with similar size biscuits and made with oats instead of wheat (just in case you hadn't grasped that!). Not everyone likes the wheat taste of the standard Weetabix cereal so Oatibix is ...  Read the complete review

Weetabix was pretty much a staple meal for me as a child, so when I had my son, it was decided that this would be ideal. I was wrong. My son has a severe wheat allergy and I felt for a long time that he was missing out on great foods that I loved as a kid. Then I saw the fantastic advert for Oatibix..you all remember it, with the huge ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Weetabix Oatibix: Oatibix: a worthy competitor to weetabix (197 words)

To be honest there were two reasons why I decided to try Oatibix: one was the fabulous advert - which is the first time I have consciously been swayed by tv advertising; second, and more importantly, because too much wheat doesn't really agree with me, and tends to make me rapidly put on weight. I've always loved weetabix though, so when Oatibix ...  Read the complete review

As you may know I am not a cereal person, but with this said I was given these Oatibix by a friend who said try these and see what you make of them and then she laughed? I questioned why she did this and she said you will see! Very curiously I thought ok maybe I will. They went into my cupboard and I have to confess stayed there a good ...  Read the complete review

The recent Oatibix advert is catchy, but after watching it several times notice the spoon doesn't actually touch the guy's mouth before he jumps into the van!....'mine Sherona !' indeed................
Not a patch on Weetabix and Oatibix don't taste of oats or anything else for that matter! If you want the real taste of oats boil up a nice porridge or microwave Readybrek!

You were able to buy Weetabix way back in the 1930`s and recently for some unknown reason Weetabix decided to diversify and try to create a Weetabix with a twist. I am an ardent fan of that versatile wheaty biscuit, it is good served with hot or cold milk, it is great with fruit or yoghurt, or both! and I love a Weetabix biscuit with some ...  Read the complete review

The advert was great, wasn't it? Now and then an advert comes along which we'll all remember - and even better, remember what it was actually for. That one hit the spot. I'm on a bit of a health kick, I just started a diet and I'm trying to eat more healthy, and that means to some extent my family get dragged kicking and screaming along ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Weetabix Oatibix
by donette read kruger - written on 26/09/08

Two days ago I read that a fat belly comes from dairy, sugar and wheat products so when i got home, i threw out all wheat.
i decided i would nibble at a couple of biscuits smeared in the butter dish instead. (after all we are only allowed 1 tbs of fat a day eh?)
instead of a bowl of Oatibix i now spread my intake over the day and if i am peckish, i have a couple of sweet bite size Oatibix with sugarless tea instead.
i am always hungry when i wake up so a couple of bite size biscuits with my first cuppa does the trick.
this morning i got on the scale and by substituting bread and biscuits for Oatibix i havesince lost -1kg.
now if you could substitute sweetners for sugar you could be onto a winner? This morning I weigh -16 stone (just).

I don't like wheat so when I saw Oatibix advertised I thought I would give it a try and have to say I really like it. Oatibix is available in nearly every supermarket. The box is a yellow colour with Oatibix is written across in blue writing. The cereal is low calorie at two oatibix being 181 calories and having 3.5 grams of fibre. The ...  Read the complete review

We usually have a box of weetabix in the cupboard but I thought I would try oatibix because they looked pretty much the same but with oats, which are very good for your heart. (Did you know that the incidents of heart attacks went up dramatically in Scotland when the consumption of porridge declined? It's true.. or so someone told me. I read the review below me and a good point was made, that it meets the needs of many who have food intolerances, as it is wheet and yeast free, so if you too have certain food intolerances and these may fit a gap in your food diary then by all means give it a go... however personally i cannot get past the taste. I thought id give it a ...  Read the complete review

Not made from wheat made from oat instead a bit Never imagine I would have anything to say about oatibix. My first impression was the advertisement on TV. It has a good punch line and seem funny too. I have never been a fan of weetibix, I find them dry and hard. Hence I didn't have a second thought about buying oatibix. Then I have ...  Read the complete review

After seeing Oatibix advertised time and time again on the TV, I decided to give it a try. I am a Weetabix fan although I don't buy it that often. Express Review on Weetabix Oatibix
by Weetabix eater - written on 22/05/08
Rating:

I like oats, and I like Weetabix, so I thought that I would give Oatibix a go.

Sadly, they fall far short of Weetabix. This is partly due to the consistency, but largely due to the flavour. They taste of very little.

Upon studying the label, the reason became clear - they have considerably less salt than Weetabix.

Shame, they probably could have been good.

When these first came out about 18 months ago I was looking for a cereal to replace my sandwich at lunch time hoping for weigh loss and guess what, in less than four months I had lost over a stone. Oatibix came out late last year and was introduced with a cracking advertising campaign, this advert can still be seen today. I've always been a fan of Weetabix and have a specialised shaped bowl and a spoon to eat it with, I was intrigued by Oatibix and decided to give it a try. When I first learnt about Oatibix I was reluctant to give them ...  Read the complete review
