Advantages: Good for you & quick to prepare

Disadvantages: They dont have the best taste in the world .

I have never really been a big fan of breakfast especially on a weekday because it always means less time in bed!
After growing up a bit and hearing the usual breakfast is the most important meal of the day I started to wonder and what the fuss was all about. I was never one of those people who got really hungry in the morning anyway but after thinking about my health I decided to go for the breakfast option. I have had all the fads and have been through most different types of breakfast including toast, sugary cereal, porridge and egg on toast. All to no avail as I got bored with them or it always seem to take too long to prepare until I gave Weetabixs a try.

THE PACKAGING
The packaging has been the same ever since Weetabixs have been on the market they come in a large yellow and blue box with the large Weetabixs blue logo with the whole grain on and a big yellow grain field on the front. The top shows the logo again with their slogan *Low fat *Low sugar * High in fibre *wholegrain. Once you open the box it has a couple of diagrams showing you how to open your Weetabixs carefully so you don't rip the whole packet or crush some of the Weetabixs because that has got to be the most annoying thing when you open the packet and your Weetabixs is in a million pieces.
On the side you get a list of all the ingredients, all the royal logos and information of the slimming awards they have won. The other side shows the Weetabixs logo again with the slogan "Its only when you eat all of the grains that you get all of the goodness" the famous lines that are on adverts and most advertising. Not that Weetabixs need any advertising they have been around for a long time and have been the most popular cereal of all time.
The bottom of the box is a bit boring and just gives you their address for any complaints and it also gives you the sell by date. They have a shelf life of around a year but if you haven't eaten the packet within a couple of weeks lets face it you aint going to finish them at all!

WHAT ARE WEETABIXS?
Weetabixs are about 10 cms long and about 4 cms wide and are made from natural whole grains they are very low in fat and sugar so they are better than your everyday cereal. They are very hard and crunchy so you wouldn't want to eat one with no milk. The average amount people eat is two a day and they fill me up for about 2 and a half hours. They don't actually smell of anything and do be honest I don't think they really have much taste to them either. They can be a bit stodgy but fill you up if you are having an early start to the day.

ARE THEY GOOD FOR ME?
Weetabixs have probably been the best breakfast cereal on the market for me. 2 Weetabixs provide 32% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamins and iron. They are jam packed with carbohydrates and vitamins to help you get through the morning. Not only do they fill that hole in your tummy they help your concentration levels. There is also quite a lot of fibre within two Weetabixs thus helping our digestive system to break down the food quicker it also fills us up to stop us snacking before lunch. Since having Weetabixs I have not been as hungry in the mornings and have probably only eaten a bit of fruit before my lunch and it makes me feel so much better.

HOW MUCH?
A box of 12 Weetabixs average about 88p a 24 box about £1.33 and the largest box you can get of 24 is about £2.48. You can get them from all good supermarkets and most corner shops.

Weetabixs have worked really well for me because they take 2 seconds to prepare in the morning I just put two in a bowl with just about enough milk to soak the two so they lose their hardness. I then sprinkle a little sugar over the top, I know its bad for you but bad habits die hard and on their own they taste a bit like hard cardboard and even when their soaked in milk they still taste a bit plain and bland. However you can make them better by adding a couple of slices of banana or apple or my favourite grapes!
Weetabixs have brought out similar products, which are all equally as nice, but I still enjoy the original Weetabixs. I do want to try the fruit and nut minis though as they look nice and I don't think you would need to use sugar or go to the hassle of cutting your own fresh fruit up.

I definitely think Weetabixs are a good start to the day.

Summary: I HAVE NO IDEA WHY DOOYOO HAVE POSTED A ORGANIC PACKET OF WEETABIX ON THE PAGE
