Advantages: Nutritious and yummy

Disadvantages: None for me

I grew up eating Weetabix, when I was young my mum used to make me a bowl of steaming hot Weetabix on a cold winter's morning before sending me off on the school bus. I would leave the house feeling full up and full of energy and ready to face the school day. I used to love the taste of it and it did taste so much better than it looked, which let's be honest was a whole lot like brown mush.

As the years passed, my head was turned by the flash marketing campaigns of other cereals and I went through phases of trying one cereal for a couple of months before moving onto the next one until I completely stopped eating Weetaix all together. I guess I just forgot how great it tasted.

I rediscovered Weetabix after having my two daughters, I wanted to givem them a breakfast cereal that was going to give them the energy they needed but wasn't full of rubbish. The two I really settled on were Ready Brek and Weetabix. They absolutely love the stuff, the enjoy it either hot or cold and also love it served with fresh fruit. It is also reasonably priced especially when you compare it with some other brands of cereal which can cost over £3 for a box. Weetabix comes in various pack sizes however I usually buy the 24 biscuit size which cost approx £1.76 but can also be frequently picked up on special offer for £1.50.

Through my daughter's love of Weetabix, I have rediscovered it myself. I now eat it regularly and still love it served hot and with a cheeky spinkling of sugar....yum!

Summary: Fab way to start the day
