Advantages: low calories
Disadvantages: not a good taste
These seemed too good to be true, if I'm honest. Chocolate brownies, which are low fat and low in calories...so I gave them a go. They have sat in my freezer for a while, but tonight I gave them a go.
Packaging...
In a purple box, these have a white 'weight watchers' label on the front along with some nutritional values. There is a big picture of the brownie and a promising little label saying 'now with more chocolate'.
Taste...
Well, it starts with a mouse which is chocolatey, but not overly so. There are some yummy chocolate curls on the top. Could have been a few more of these, but this part of the dessert was very nice. Below that is a sort of vanilla mousse, with chocolate sauce pockets round the side of the pot. The sauce is a little too dark for me and the vanilla mousse is quite dry and too sweet. I didn't enjoy this part of the dessert, and was impatient to get to the brownie as this was what the dessert was sold as!! I didn't finish the mousse and instead flipped over the dessert to get to the brownie. However, this was a disappointment. It was dry and damp, and not gooey at all. The chocolate taste is a bit bland.
Half of it went in the bin. Not impressed. And I love a chocolate dessert.
Summary: 2/5

- 30/10/09 I'm really dissapointed, I had been hoping to try these as they keep tempting me but you've put me right off. Have rated useful as your review gave no indication of price or calorie/fat content, which I find important when considering this kind of purchase. |
