... when you touch it it's dry and a bit dusty feeling. It's not very versatile either because it's got a proper funny bland taste and its not a good mature flavour, I think it's more like mild cheese and because it's so dry the cheese is no good on a sandwich. It doesn't melt very good either and stays in grated pieces and doesn't melt together properly so you can't use it on cheese on toast or on top of a pizza like you can normal cheddar cheese. The only thing I liked it in was mixed in with cooked baked potato and t...more

(first of all, this product looks nothing like that DooYoo have provided; to start with, this one is grated!) Anyway... I used to be a complete cheese addict, especially when I was younger; I'd eat it almost daily! More recently though, I decided to remove it completely from my diet as I was uneasy with eating the extremely fattening dairy product. I was over the moon though when I discovered Weight Watchers manufactured their own Cheddar, and felt sure I was ready to introduce cheese back into my life! ***** Weight Watchers do Mature Cheddar Cheese in both a block, and ready grated in a pack. I decided to try it ...  Read the complete review

I've been on the WeightWatcher diet for coming up to two months now, and the number one thing I have missed more than anything was cheese! I used to eat a lot of cheddar, sandwiches filled with delicious wedges of creamy cheese, and it'd go into my cooking on a regular basis as well, we love cheese and potatoe pie in this house! So it was incredibly difficult realising that just 10g of cheddar would cost me one of my daily points, 10g is hardly anything at all! Then whilst taking my Nanny shopping in Morrisons (I don't usually shop there myself) I discovered this little gem, it's grated and comes in a resealable packet, and 30g is just 1.5points, half the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Weight Watchers Grated Mature Cheddar Cheese: Are you cheesy? (732 words)

We all know cheese is a high fat food, but we also know that cheese is good for us so when dieting it's often a dilemma as to whether to cut cheese from our diet completely as it's hard to fit it into a calorie controlled eating plan. I do like a nice cheese board for special occasions but am not really one for grabbing a chunk of cheese from the fridge, so when I realised that a few recipes I had planned required grated cheese I hit the supermarket with a view to finding a convenient and tasty lower fat cheese. As I am following the Weight Watchers plan I was drawn to bags of their grated mature cheese which was reasonably priced at £1.99 for a 200g bag, I ...  Read the complete review

I eat loads of cheese and know it's not good for me so I've started replacing some of it with low fat cheese, last week I got a bag of Weight Watchers grated cheese to try because I've eaten a bit of their stuff lately and have been happy with it all. It's mature cheese and it's not that bad but it's not a very good cheese. I think it's a good cheese if you're dieting because then you can't eat full fat cheese but I'd rather stick to Cathedral City and stuff the calories and cholestrol! It's grated into quite big bits and is dead rubbery looking but when you touch it it's dry and a bit dusty feeling. It's not very versatile either because it's ...  Read the complete review
