Weight Watchers Lasagne

Description: Manufacturer: Weight Watchers / Type: Ready Meal

Newest Review: ... very convenient as it is microwavable in a matter of minutes. You can also oven cook it if you prefer. A lot of people say ... more

... that the ready meals are small portions and wouldn't be filling enough for an evening dinner meal but I find them just right. I have never been left hungry after and I can eat a fair bit. You could add a portion of vegetables to go with the Lasagne. The Lasagne itself needs a good while to cool down or you will burn your mouth. So when it says to leave to stand, be patient. I found out the hard way! It is very tasty and doesn't taste like it is low fat or that you are denying yourself anything you enjoy....more

Premium Review Weight Watchers Lasagne: Good hearty lunch...not dinner (295 words)

The Weight Watchers Beef Lasagne is a product from the frozen ready meal section of your supermarket. I was tempted to try it this week as it was on offer this week (£1.00 compared to the usual £1.45) in my local Tesco, and I am desperate to shed a few pounds so that I do not look too much like a christmas pudding when I tuck in to my christmas pudding. At just 253 calories and only 4.5 weight watcher points, this is a really good way to have a hot lunch without piling on the pounds. The reason I say lunch, is because with only 300g of lasagne in the box, I am not sure it would fill me up at dinner time. This is fewer calories than most sandwiches (or the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review How do they do it - Weight Watcher Lasagne (478 words)
by - written on 23/11/09 (Very useful, 31 readings)

A low fat ready meal lasagne, part of the Weight Watchers points range. Packaging The meal comes boxed as is easily recognisable as a Weight Watchers meal with the signature purple band on the left of the box, on the right a picture of the lasagne. The meal itself is in a microwave able plastic tray with a film lid. The box clearly shows the nutritional information of the meal both in grams and in weight watchers points for those on the programme. Cooking The meal can be microwaved in 9mins or oven cooked in 40mins. For either method the film lid is removed and the meal placed straight in the oven or microwave, nothing else ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Weight Watchers Lasagne: Low Fat Lasagne (560 words)

I bought this product as part of the 3 for £4 offer in Asda, it is a frozen ready meal and they do tend to have a wide variety included in the offer which makes them a good freezer staple, one you can grab in a hurry when you only need to feed youself! Finding myself in a situation where I am only going to need to cook for me a couple of nights over the last few weeks these were ideal, especially as I am following the weight watchers plan. This beef lasagne certainly looks tasty on the box and it is only valued at 4.5 points for the meal which is quite low for a main. This meant I was able to enjoy a small glass of red wine with my meal for another 2 points ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review It will never beat homemade......... but it's a good alterna ... (706 words)

I feel that I have to put a disclaimer at the start of my review for the Weight Watcher Lasagne ready meal.... Homemade lasagne cannot be beaten... and I always cook lasagne from scratch (check out a previous review for my secret recipe) however last night I got home from work after a 13 hour day and was tired, hungry but not starving. I had two choices... go shopping then cook up a homemade lasagne for myself, or turn to Mr Lool's stash of "emergency freezer food" and opt for a Weight Watcher Lasagne . I took the easy option.... Obviously! I have had other Weight Watchers Ready meals before and have always been quite impressed with the range ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Weight Watchers Lasagne: Yummy, but a very small portion!! (513 words)

I'm always on the lookout for healthy meals that my waistline will like, and I do like a good lasagne so I thought I'd give this Weight Watchers one a try. Usually I go for the Bird's Eye beef lasagne, but this one was on offer for £1 (usually £1.40) so in the basket it went. It's quite a small box, with the Weight Watchers logo and trademark purple colouring on the box. It also tells us that for those following the Weight Watchers plan this meal has 4.5 points, 253 calories and less than 3% fat. Not bad. More good points are that there are no artificial colours or hydrogenated fats. To cook the lasagne, the packet recommends cooking ...  Read the complete review
