Advantages: Chocolate, Chocolate and more Chocolate
Disadvantages: Sickly, stodgy, overpowering tangy taste, more expensive than other products in the range.
I am generally an impulse buyer and when it comes to chocolate I will try anything once!
In my local Tesco I noticed they had the new Taste Temptations range from Weight Watchers in which included this delicious dessert at just 3.5points per dessert.
As all of the other Weight Watchers desserts had tasted pretty good I decided to give these a whirl, even though they were slightly higher in price at £1.89 for a pack of two I thought they would be extra tasty.
*~*What is Weight Watchers all about?*~*
Weight watchers is a healthy eating programme that is designed around 2 eating plans, points and core.
The points plan means that you are limited to portion sizes and a number of points per day this is calculated on your age, height, how active you are and your current weight.
The core plan is different and can be compared to Slimming World whereby you have 3 meals a day consisting of foods from a specific list which is meats, dairy, grains, fruit and vegetables and you have a weekly points allowance as opposed to a daily points allowance.
*~*Product Promise*~*
A moist chocolate brownie with a luxurious raspberry lava and a thick chocolate sauce.
This is the description that will have you throwing them into your trolley as it truly does taste delicious.
As with all of the frozen desserts they come in 2 thick plastic pits and are sealed with a film lid and stored within the trademark purple weight watchers cardboard box.
As these desserts promised to be even more tasty than the standard range of products such as the Chocolate Top Iced Dessert, Chocolate Brownie and Banoffee Pudding I couldn't wait to give this a try.
The most disappointing thing about this dessert is that it takes a lot longer to defrost than the rest in the range at 1.5 hours this is a pretty long time to wait.
The dessert looks extrememly appealing with a mil chocolate ring around the outside of the tub and a bright red jelly like sauce to the middle with raspberries hidden within the sauce.
With the first bite I am already drooling anticipating the sweet, heavenly taste of the chocolate sauce and raspberry sauce mixing together when suddenly I realise it is not raspberry I can taste but more like Cherry!
I continue eating the dessert this time mixing it with a bit of the chocolate brownie and still trying to get the flavour of the raspberry to come through, my partner starts eating his and referring to it as the cherry chocolate desserts, no either we have the wrong product or they have labelled it incorrectly so off I go into the kitchen to check the box.......no definately Chocolate Raspberry Fusion so I decide just to eat the whole dessert and accept that my taste buds are absolutely useless untill I start to feel sick. The thick chocolate sauce is now getting stuck to the roof of my mouth and the raspberry sauce is thick and tart and proving to be a somewhat sickly dessert.
Once I get to the end of the pot I feel really disappointed that I wasted £1.89 on the product and really didn't enjoy it. The Brownie contained within the dessert had to be the best part, it was moist and definately not dry which made it really enjoyable but unfortunately the mass of chocolate sauce made it all too sickly, even for me a Chocaholic!!

For gooey pudding lovers this will really appeal but for me this pudding is just too much, its sickly, stodgy and a real let down.
Summary: A disappointing dessert.
