Advantages: yummy-very nice-a little spicy but nowhere near as evil as nic nax

Disadvantages: aren't really flaming or indeed hot-try monster munch hot for a spicier snax or nic nax rib n saucy

These are my favourite flavour at the moment of Wotsits possibly only surpassed by those of the "prawn cocktail" variety- I use this term loosely as I am largely allergic to prawns and other forms of shellfish and if they actually contained any prawn in any realistic shape or form then I would probably be elligible for the 2012 olympic projectile vomiting team.

But anyway I digress- these are supposed to be both "flaming" and indeed "hot"-well I have issue with both of these alleged facts.

For starters these are in no manner, shape or indeed form flaming as surely the heat from afore mentioned flames would melt the packet and be a health and safety hazard!! Of course one way around this would be to have crisps that ignited upon contact with the air but then this too would cause problems as the whole packet would ignite as soon as you opened it so this is in fact a misnomer.... unless they are intending the useage of the word flaming as in "flaming hell geezer" in which case this is slightly more acceptable but should we really be encouraging the youth of today (at whom no doubt these crisps are intentionally marketed) to use such awful cuss words as flaming. Before we know it they will be coming out with other extremities such as "bloody" or "blast"!!!

Second I take umbridge at use of the word "hot" as the crisps I enjoyed last night were decidely cold or at best of a stable room tempature!! If in fact they mean spicy then it is true they have more of a tang than ordinary cheesey wotsits but they are nowhere near as spicy as the hot variety of Monster Munch I have enjoyed on a more regular basis. And hot Monster Munch come in a bigger bag. And are shaped like monster feet.

Overall these are a very tasty snack- and I am sorry if there are those of you who might have gathered that I don't indeed like these crisps- it is just that I feel I have a whole issue with the foodie description. This I think is the biggest food scandal since it emerged that the only true vegetarian Walkers are Beef and onion and that Scampi and Lemon Crisps actually taste of anything other than week old toenails or cheesey, mouldy feet.

I love the way these melt in your mouth like little puffs of potato though not as successfully as Skips which are the Queen and King of melty crisp-style snax but be warned- if you try to put too many wotsits in your mouth at once or eat them at too quick a speed you can find yourself getting gummmed up which may result in a trip to A and E if you eat more than three packets this way on the trot.

oh and despite what it says about being reduced salt, I am not sure these are condusive to a regulated diet!!
If you ignore what it says on the packet and take these for what they are- an artifical, additive-laden tasty potato snack- then you won't go far wrong... just be aware that these are not exactly as it says on the packet!!

Summary: second only to the prawn cocktail wotsits and a gadzillion times nicer than the cheesey ones

That made me grin! Liked it - a good giggle and some decent succint info about the product, rather than miles of waffly padding
