Advantages: relatively healthy, tasty

Disadvantages: don't last long

I don't really snack on unhealthy things but for some reason since Christmas I have undulged in one or two things that I wouldn't do as a rule, with many people saying to me, you don't normally eat that, are you pregnant...lol.

On my last visit to Tesco, they had an offer on 3 12 packs of Crisps for £3, so I had one French Fries, one Doritoes and one Wotsits.

I used to eat Wotsits all the time as a kid, that and Monster Munch and used to get excited then, I'm still a big kid and got excited when I had my first pack of Wotsits for a while.

When opening the pack of 12, I noticed that the packaging of Wotsits had somewhat changed over the years. I can remember when Wotsits where in plastic wrappers as opposed to foil and where slightly see thorugh so you could see the contents. The design of the packet hasn't changed a great deal, with the Walkers and Wotsits logo on the front of the pack and pictures of the cheese curls flying around. The packets themselves now however are landscape as opposed to portrait, looks at bit strange at first, as you are used to the design being the way round that you open the packet. Things change through and I am sure we will see more manufacturers following this route in the future. I think Walkers themselves are gradually changing majority of their packaging to follow suit and keep everything consistent and to their new brand identity. On the front of the Wotsits pack, you also have the sunseed oil logo as all Walkers crisps are now made using this oil and also the basic nutritional information. This being:

Calories: 95
Sugar: 1.5g
Fat: 5.8g
Saturates: 0.7g
Salt: 0.4g

No crisps are good for you, however the nutritional information on this particular product isn't to bad and I would consider it to be on the same scale as Quavers, a little bit better than other varieties of potato snacks. The average amount of calories you normally get in 25g packet of crisp is around the region of 130kcal. The total amount of carbs in the product is 9.8g, however it is the sugar carbs that do us no good and this is down to a 1.5g which isn't too bad.

On the reverse of the packet, its just silver with a brief introduction to the product, complaints procedure should you be dis-satisfied with the product, nutritional information at length and the ingredients as well as the little man popping his empty pack in a bin, in order to say "Keep Britain Tidy"

Opening the individual packet, the cheesy smell hits you straight away and to be honest the pack was quite full. As these are a lighter snack you get more Wotsits for your 25g and makes it look more value for you money. Full of cheese curls, each varying from 1 inch to 1.5 inches long, I popped one into my mouth.

This product has got better over the years and the cheese taste was at its best I thought, plenty of flavour on them and they tasted as they should do cheesy. With Wotsits I tend to either munch on them, which when you do that you don't tend to have the flavour hit you straight away until you have swallowed them or I either suck them until they dissolve. As they are puffs, it doesn't take long at all, a matter of seconds until they are gone, but it also makes the pack last longer and gives you the opportunity to savour the flavour.

If you are a big kid like me, like cheese puffs and haven't tried these for a while, then pop a couple of packs in your trolley when you go to the supermarket, you can get 12 pack all original cheese flavour or you can can get a 12 pack with a variety of flavours, however I don't think the other flavours quite make them Wotsits as we all associate Wotsits with the cheesy flavour.

Summary: Go on be a devil and treat yourself
