... any such flavour of gum before, I was happy to try it out as these flavours sounded appealing to me. Taking the paper covering off one of the little sticks of gum which were contained in the cardboard outer packaging, I was pleased to note that the sticks themselves are a very pretty shade of peach, or light-orange. The smell was very apparent as soon as I had removed the wrapper and was indeed quite appetising - a sort of light and fruity scent. Popping one of the sticks into my mouth, I was instantly aware of the f...more

Premium Review Wrigley's Extra Fusion: Chew and sneeze with Wrigley's (782 words)

I was in my local Costcutter yesterday where I was idly looking at the display of chewing gum whilst I was waiting to pay. Now I don't normally buy chewing gum as I do find that it makes me feel hungry when I chew it and I already eat too much as it is! Anyway I noticed a new product - well I hadn't tried it before - called Wrigley's Extra Fusion and the flavour I spotted was Spearmint with a hint of melon. I am not very keen on peppermint and much prefer the taste of spearmint so I decided to give it a try. It only cost 52p for a pack so it wasn't going to be a big problem if I didn't like it. The gum comes in a flat cardboard box (remember to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fruity Flavoured 'Fusions'! (551 words)

I am not usually a fan of 'fruity' tasting gum and much prefer mint-type varieties as they tend to be much more refreshing, which is my personal preference. That said, when I noticed that the 'Extra Fusion' was on offer in my local grocery store, priced at only 40 pence for a rather large-looking pack, I was tempted to give it a bash and see what this variety was like. It is no wonder that the packet of gum caught my eye, given that the packet is a very bright orange colour, across which the bright green and white lettering proudly states the name of the product. I believe that there are several varieties or flavours of the Extra Fusion ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wrigley's Extra Fusion: Orange and mango YUM!! (341 words)

I was standing waiting to pay for my shopping in Co-op yesterday when I noticed the confectionary rack. I was very tempted to get a bar of chocolate, but remembering my pledge to go on a serious diet I resisted the urge to grab and a bar. As I gazed longingly at the chocolate bars Wriglys Extra Fusion chewing gum caught my eye and I purchased a pack. I believe there are a few different flavours in the Fusion range, however it was the orange and mango flavour which caught my eye and I subsequently purchased. The gum comes packaged in a cardboard sleeve, inside the sleeve is a plastic foil backed try with 9 blisters, each containing a piece of fusion ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Fusion Cuisine - on the cheap! (693 words)

I was never much of a chewing gum fan until I gave up milk in my coffee. (I've since given up caffeine in it too - coffee now is a truly joyless experience for me!) I found that after a black coffee, my mouth tasted so utterly disgusting I just needed something to cut through it. This was why I turned to chewing gum. I don't know about everyone else, but I view chewing gum as a pretty boring essential daily item. Yes, it was exciting when I was a kid - purely because my Dad disapproved of it - but back then I didn't drink coffee and only chewed juicy fruit, because other gum tasted of mint, and that reminded me of toothpaste - which no kid likes. Peppermint ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wrigley's Extra Fusion: A fusion of fruity flavours! (291 words)

The Wrigley's company was set up in 1891 on April 1st by William Wrigley. They started to sell soap and baking powder products and as an incentive they offered free chewing gum with their products and soon realised there was a huge market for chewing gum when the gum became more popular than their soap and baking products. Wrigley's sell their product too over 180 counties and have 14 factories worldwide one of which is in Plymouth (my home town) and is the main supplier for the UK. One of their latest products is a Raspberry, Blackcurrant and Grapefruit Extra Fusion. The first time I saw this product was in my local Tesco. I thought that the ...  Read the complete review
