... contents appear something like the aftermath of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, but I promise it's not as bad as the first sighting reveals. The contents of the tin are pieces of cooked and pressed pork tongue (presumably from pigs!) which are held together by a mass of amber-coloured aspic jelly. The tongue itself is a reddish brown in colour, and needs to be eased carefully out of the tin using a knife or spatula.
