If you are the sort of person that needs a filling and delicious meal in a hurry over lunch or dinner then Admirals Pie is one of the best ready meals I have ever tried. Unlike some other fast foods available at supermarkets like pot noodles, Admirals Pie is very filling and good value for money. It can be microwaved in 9 or 10 minutes depending on the power of your microwave, or oven cooked for 45 minutes, and although it is rather high in fat and calories (about 20% of you RDA equally) is still very filling so you won't have to eat something else after. The value of Admirals Pie is good, as I paid £1.29 for mine from Sainsbury's, but at other supermarkets ... Read the complete review

I am a massive fan on seafood and I think that Young's ready meals are absolutely fantastic for when you are in a hurry or your life revolves around being on the go the entire time. This review is on Young's Admiral's pie. I purchased it today from Farm Foods for the very reasonable price of 95p. Most supermarkets tend to sell it for around the £1 mark. The Young's product range is available at all good supermarkets and is always reasonably priced, wherever you shop. As with all Young's products, the Young's logo is displayed in the centre of the front of the box. This logo, for those of you who haven't seen it is a capsule that is burgundy and dark blus split ... Read the complete review

I quite enjoy fish, any fish to be honest even though most of it carries a heavy stench it doesn't put me off. Fish in many forms I find quite tasty and satisfying so when in Iceland the other day when I seen boxes of Young's Admiral's Pie for just 75p a box I bought a few to give them a try. The box is a lovely blue colour with a stunning ocean at the top. The brand name Young's is at the top on a bergundy and navy background. Theres a picture of this Admiral's Pie accompanied by some greens and I have to be honest the picture does it justice in the looks department - real mouthwatering looking pie with clear chunks of fish. We are told that this Admiral's ... Read the complete review

Young's Admiral's Pie is packaged in a cardboard box and within the box is a black plastic oval shaped tray with a clear plastic film lid. I cook mine in the oven, from frozen, and this is very simple as I just remove it from the freezer, pop it in oven, set a timer and then carry on with whatever I was doing before. Each cooked pie contains 18% of my daily recommend allowance of omega 3 & there are 342 calories & 15.5g of fat per fish pie so although it's low in calories it is pretty high in fat because of the sauce & probably should be enjoyed as part of your dinner or a main meal to keep within your daily recommend calorie ... On finding myself alone at my boyfriend's flat during the day today, I needed to get some lunch for myself all on my own. Since we're going out for tea tonight and I'm feeling a bit chubby (as always), I decided to go for something a bit cheaper and less calorific than a takeaway, which I would normally have had, so I headed down to the local Spar to see what they had. After I'd glanced in the freezer section, I knew instantly what I wanted: a Young's Admiral's Pie. After spending the last nine months in halls cooking alone most of the time, and since half of the time 'cooking' meant putting something in the microwave or oven, I had got to try quite a lot of ready meals, ...
