 ... like the sort of marzipan you buy in a block when you're decorating a cake. The chocolate is quite thin on the bar but it goes very good with the marzipan, because it's dark chocolate it's got a bit of a bitter flavour and that goes brill with the marzipan because of how the bitterand sweet tastes go together. I can't eat a Marzipan Bar all in one go because it gets proper sweet and sickly after a bit, I usually eat half then wait a bit before eating the other half....more

I love the marzipan bars that Zentis make, they sell them in the newsagent by me for 69p a bar and I have to stop myself buying one sometimes because I eat the bars loads too quick and I'd end up the size of a house if I ate one whenever I fancied it! lol It's just a slab of marzipan that has been covered in dark chocolate. It's shaped like a log and is a very big chocolate bar, even though most of it isn't chocolate and is the marzipan inside. The marzipan or chocolate isn't the best quality in the world and you can taste that it's a bit of a cheapo bar, but with this one that doesn't matter that much because it's still yummy! After my Weight Watchers meeting on a Wednesday I always allow myself a treat of a chocolate bar and bag of crisps to pat myself on the back after a week of counting points and doing what little exercise I can manage. This week the decision was made for me when my daughter handed me a thick bar of Zentis Chocolate Covered Marzipan. It comes wrapped in a mixture of plastic and gold foil, to be honest this bar has rather a cheap appearance but it's certainly not cheap to buy as this 100g bar cost my daughter £1.09 in the newsagents near her.
