... picked up this perfume to start writing my review only to discover the bottle was empty! Ahh it s a good job its nearly Christmas. Many years ago my father bought me a Bvlgari perfume, it was the first real adult perfume I had owned and I distinctly remember that it smelt like babies, you know the bundle of talc, rusks and general baby smell but despite that I was struck by how prestigious this brand was. Joop: Joop Homme, Eau de Toilette ... elegant special occasions type of scent, this is a wonderful, musky fragrance that when smelt by someone walking past you really makes you sniff the air for a better taste It s a rather provocative smelling perfume and works well on confident men. It is often described as spicy, but has notes of cinnamon and amber leaving it with a dark woody after taste, which is surprisingly clean and pleasant. The bottle itself is nothing special, and the red/pinky colour of the liquid can stain if you spray too heavily or too close to light coloured clothing (such as shirts). Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet Man, Eau de Toilette ... very irresistible every day type of scent, this is a wonderful unobtrusive, pleasant smelling fragrance that you rarely smell on others walking past you. It s a very modern and confident smelling perfume with a light and airy feel to it. Despite being described as a woody smell, it s not heavy or musky. One of the top notes to this perfume is Italian mint which is what I think gives it a wet smell and neutralises any musky smell you would normally associate with ingredients such as black pepper and oak moss. Giving perfume as a present can always be a bit hit and miss as it s very hard to judge other peoples tastes without asking outright what it is they like.
