Gwen Stefani: Harajuku Lovers Lil' Angel, Eau de Toilette ... is a review of Lil Angel perfume from Gwen Stefani s 2008 Harajuku lovers range. I must admit, I felt a bit like this was a perfume range for little girls due to the packaging of it but at the same time, it is totally adorable. I spent ages trying to decide which was my favourite before taking the plunge for the yellow one called Lil Angel. I got the 10ml bottle (it is tiny) and paid approximately £14 for it at Superdrug. The main part of the bottle is a plastic doll which forms the lid. You pull this off to reveal the spray. Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet Man, Eau de Toilette ... is gorgeous! I bought this for my partner on a whim as the packaging was so lovely. It s all purple and silver and the cannister has a squeeze action that s quite fun to use. The whole effect is quite sumptuous, making a good present. Scent-wise, it is quite musky and woody and I have heard people use the term oriental to describe it. It s rich, warm, sexy, comforting and very distinctive and he often gets friends (women usually!) asking him what it is. Interestingly it is not overpowering, although you don t need to apply it very often. If it helps, as a teenager I adored Lynx Oriental and Picasso Minotaure and this is quite like those. Lancôme: Ô de Lancôme, Eau de Toilette ... absolutely love this. If you like fresh, clean, slightly citrusy scents then this would be a good one to try. I wear this every day at work and it s not heavy at all. It is light enough to apply and not worry too much about it being overpowering even within a couple of minutes. It does need a re-application once or twice a day to sustain the scent. It is a lovely frosted glass bottle and a lurid green inside. It smells predominantly of citrus, especially limes, and also in the background herbs and something a little more woody. Very much a summer or daytime fragrance.
