Calvin Klein CK One Eau de Toilette
by lizrmunro
CK one is now quite a classic fragrance in the Calvin Klein range. It has been styled to be suitable for both men and women. As with a lot of fragrance houses, if you like other fragrances in their collection, you are likely to also like this one.
The packaging
Simple packaging to appeal to both mean and women alike, with a ... smooth contoured bottle in a matt finish. You attach the pump yourself after opening the bottle, and this works very well, does not appear to clog etc.
The fragrance
Light, as you can imagine not a flowery fragrance but fresh. Would be very suitable as an everyday fragrance for men or women for example in the office as it is very pleasant without being overpowering, but I don't think it's special enough for an evening fragrance for either men or women. It does have a very classic type of smell to it and could not at all be described as cheap- which I'm sure is what everyone wants. Would suit younger rather than older people though I think Read the complete review |

The Body Shop White Musk Eau de Toilette
by nile123
I remember my mum using white musk from the body shop very often. I loved it and have always had a bottle on my dresser. It's a cute little clear bottle, with a dip dye purple effect and a small spraying nozzle. Very simple but nice. It's small enough to even throw into your bag to be honest.
It has a very soft musky smell, nothing ... too harsh on the senses, a bit like musky linen. It smells something like I'd imagine Arabia to smell like. It's a powdery smell, not every ones cup of tea but I really do like it and have gotten many compliments. I think the key to using this perfume is to keep it subtle. Too much spraying of the perfume is really unpleasant and strong, uncomfortable for those around you to be honest.
For ten pounds, you really cannot complain. The only thing I will say though, do not keep in in sunlight. I had a bad experience f keeping it in my car and due to the heat, the smell evaporated! A waste of ten pounds unfortunately.
I'd say, test it, wear it for a day, see how you like it before buying it. Read the complete review |

CK One Shock Eau de Toilette
by sammy00
I was bought the CK One Shock for my Birthday in June this year off my boyfriend, I received the 100 ml EDT bottle and have been nicely surprised at my liking of the scent. I generally stick to the Hugo Boss range as I feel they just can't seem to go wrong with both the male and female fragrances but I had tried the CK Shock in the ... airport and thought it was a nice summer fragrance so was very pleased to receive it as a present
The CK One Shock comes for both him and her. It was launched in 2011 and was promoted through a TV advert showing what I classed as a more 'punk' side to CK with it being aimed at a young generation with flasher colourful punk adverts to catch your eye. The EDT is supplies in a 50 ml, 100 ml and 150 ml. I have recently seem the 50ml on offer at the Perfume store for around £20, with the 100 ml priced at £33-35.
The EDT comes in a white glass bottle with a spray nozzle applicator. The bottle has the CK logo and Shock emblazoned on the front in a pink colour for women (this is presented in a black bottle with the work shock in green for the men's fragrance). Although these bottles stand out i did not like the 80's feel to the bottle, the neon pink was not feminine enough for me to want to show off this bottle on my dressing table. CK market this as a "fierce bouquet" with intense notes of blackberry, jasmine and patchouli. When sprayed I can pick up on the flowery scent of jasmine and a hint of blackberry but cannot really distinguish between anymore scents that are combined to make the perfume.
When applied (normally for me, first thing in the morning) the perfume is quite strong, but is a feminine oriental flowery and fruity fragrance so is not too overpowering. Although beginning quite strong I found it faded within a couple of hours to being barely detectable. Sometimes this can simply be that you get used to the perfume so don't smell it as much yourself but in the interests of doing this review I asked my other half and a friend at work and they also said they noticed it faded quite quickly.
It is a lovely perfume with some lovely floral notes to it making it a very feminine delicate scent once the initial application has settled but it fades far too quickly for my liking and for the money you pay there are perfumes out there for the same money that last and last.
