Agent Provocateur Eau de Parfum
Advantages: lasts all day, beautiful casing, and very versatile thanks to changing notes
Disadvantages: quite expensive
I bought this fragrance just over a year ago.I was looking for a more higher end fragrance, and one that was different (fragrant wise) to others.
What initially attracted me to this was obviously the bottle! It oozes femininity,a hint of girliness (the bold baby pink porcelain bottle) with elegant sophistication(probably the italics and the black bow) combined to create a highly desirable object on my dresser.
So I asked the lady for a sample, which she placed on one of those fragrance cards.I was very surprised. This was definately not a fragrance I was familiar with, and on top of that wasn't what I was expecting from the casing.I am undoubtedly one to judge a book by its cover (when it comes to fragrances) and so imagined my first whiff of this to include lots of musky notes and a few floral. How wrong I was! This was infact very spicy-almost pepper like.Although later I discovered these are the coriander notes which come through along with a hint of saffron.Having said that it was a sweet spice. Not
what I would consider unpleasant, but I do like my top notes to be to my taste-and my preference is towards musky.
I asked the lady if I could dab a little on my wrist, and she was alright with this.I did this so I could see how the fragrance develops throughout the day.something which is a must for me,as I know only too well how fragrances change,or in some cases disappear later on.
So a few hours later I had a sniff of my wrist and here was another shock! It seemed as though I wasn't smelling the same scent. Now it was definately a floral one.I really liked this, again it wasn't a typical scent, but this was much more pleasing to my olfactory sense.I loved that this actually lasted a good 7 to 8 hours before becoming milder.
I remember the following day, before stepping into the shower, having one last smell of my wrist.Although expecting the perfume to have completely disappeared by now,it honestly hadn't!But it had again changed to a very mild, lingering, musky aroma. This was an absolute delight.
At this point I decided to purchase agent provocateur.I found it too expensive on the high street,so I managed to grab it online for a little over half the price!
I only use this for special occasions but it adds a lovely touch to my decor..and might I add that whenever I wear this I get asked by both men and women (on two occasions complete strangers!) what I'm wearing. Its definately unique!
Summary: Overall a highly recommended unique fragrance.Prepare to turn heads!
