Eau Emotionnelle is basically a tweaked version of Agent Provocateur. Apart from the fact that its launch date is six years later than that of its predecessor, the differences are not that vast. It is Agent Provocateurs attempt to make a sweeter, lighter smelling perfume. The most noticeable change is the bottle. The bottle wasn't one of the world's greatest works of art to start off with and to be honest I prefer this to the first simple French manicure pink bottle. The bottle for Eau Emotionnelle is the same basic egg shape but in a dustier pink with a lace pattern on it. The perfume of course has also had its own little make over. Firstly it is an eau du toilette not an eau du parfum and whilst the floral tones remain almost the same it is now bye bye earthy and spicy tones and hello to the fresh and fruity ones instead. To be honest even though the bottle is better the smell is just not quite there. It is not Agent provocateur signature sexy. It is like when you meet your glamorous best friend's plain Jane sister. Not good! This is a good example of how the original is always better. As with the first perfume my complaint is still valid here, only 50 or 100 ml bottles. It can be a bit heavy on the purse strings if you have more perfumes than shoes.
Agent Provocateur is a UK-based lingerie line; they released a fragrance of the same name in 2000. It was created by perfumer Christian Provenzano. The ingredients include saffron, coriander, rose, jasmine, magnolia, ylang ylang, gardenia, vetiver, amber and musk. It's an exotic, floral fragrance which comes in a lovely pink bottle.
The smell is quite in-your-face, it's very seductive which is what the fragrance tries to promote; seductiveness. It's quite a warm smell with hints of spice. As it settles, the smell is quite rich with a floral sweetness, if it wasn't for the floral ingredients the smell would be quite dark but the flowery smells makes it much lighter.
Unfortunately, the smell doesn't last, after about an hour and a half the individual fragrances you can smell turns into one mesh of smells that don't seem to agree with each other.
This is a perfume you'd probably only wear once in a while, I definitely wouldn't recommend it for every day use as you'd tire of it too easily. The perfume is available in 50ml and 100ml bottles at £30 and £45 respectively (these are just average prices, if you looked at some websites you may find it cheaper, also note this is for the parfum, toilette is again cheaper at £25 for 50ml and £32 for 100ml).
Can be purchased from Debenhams, Boots and most department stores.

I saw this perfume at Debenhams, it almost looks exactly the same as the original Agent Provocateur scent. This also comes in the pink bottle with the little black ribbon at the top and black writing on the bottle. The only real difference I noticed, was that this bottle is slightly more see through than the other (but not that much), it read eau emotionelle and the ribbon was like a lace and not a black silk.
This perfume is meant to be a more simplified version of the original perfume and they've taken the heavy base notes of wood and musk away or diminished it significantly. Its still smells strongly of ylang ylang and jasmine.
When I sprayed this perfume on my skin, I did smell a strong resemblance to the original, though this one was very light and smelt more of flowers than wood and musk. For those who like the original, this could be a good daytime perfume or a lighter alternative. They also look pretty together as they're so similar.
From what I could smell, I'd say this eau emotionelle is more of a daytime perfume. It's very soft and gentle and you can't really smell any heavy undertones at all. this could also work for younger people and makes a lovely gift that's very feminine and sweet, ideal for that special occasion.
I decided, although this one is nice and light, it wasn't that much different from what I already have, so I didn't purchase it. This scent is very flowery and sweet and would make a lovely addition to perfume collections of people who like the scent of jasmine and ylang ylang.
