Advantages: sister scent of original but more up beat, less woody

The original Agent Provocateur perfume was (and still is) one of my absolute favourite perfumes of all time. I was having a little browse at House of Frasier and came across the Maitresse perfume, which was the latest release in the Agent Provocateur range. (I bought this in 2007)

The bottle was a beautiful alluring gold colour, but the same shape as the original AP perfume. The tester cards that came with it, I thought, were quite amusing. It was a card in red, shaped like a girl in lingerie. I'd never seen anything like it before, so I thought that was pretty original of them.

When I sprayed some perfume on to the card, I must say, I fell in love with Agent Provocateur all over again! This scent had very familiar notes of the original, you could tell that this was its sister, but this one was a lot more cheerful and awake smelling. It didn't have as much of the deep, woody and musky scents that the original had. The tones used in Maîtresse includes notes of white lotus petals, ylang-ylang, osmanthus, jasmin sambac, white suede, and musk.

For anyone who loves the original and wants something equally romantic but more up beat, this is the way to go! The prices range from 20 to about 45 pounds, depending where you shop and the size you get.
