      Disadvantages

A floral fragrance that has stood the test of time.

Review of Apple Blossom Eau de Parfum

Apple Blossom fragrance has been around for many years, the fragrance was been first introduced back in the 1930s. It was originally produced by the Helena Rubinstein Company and it was one of the fragrances houses' most successful lines.
The Apple Blossom fragrance was taken over by Kent Cosmetics in 1988 and is still produced today in my local area of the UK, Kent.

      **The Fragrance**

Apple Blossom is packaged in a classically styled bottle made of glass. The bottle is heavily frosted and has a gold ridged cap concealing the spray mechanism. The spray is a particularly efficient one, the fragrance is dispensed in a fine mist and just the right amount is released with each depression of the spray. I get very frustrated with fragrances that come whooshing out and drench you!
Apple Blossom labelling is basically pink and very twee with little flowers and lots of gold highlights. The outer cardboard box is decorated in the same design as the label, very pink, very sweet and a little old fashioned!

The bottle feels heavy and of good quality, although it is not as spectacular or pretty as some on the market. However the packaging is not that important to me, the fragrance is my main interest!
As the name implies, the Apple Blossom fragrance is a floral scent. The label on my bottle of eau de parfum tells me that Apple Blossom is 'an exquisite blend of apple-blossom, lily of the valley, jasmine, mandarin, rose, patchouli, oak moss, and sandalwood'.

The top notes of Apple Blossom are very floral, the Lily of the Valley and Rose scents are almost over powering at first spritz but these soon fade into the deeper heart notes of Jasmine, apple blossom and mandarin. I find the heart notes of this fragrance linger quite noticeably on my skin.
The fragrance deepens as the base notes come through. These are predominantly sandalwood and patchouli, both long time favourites of mine.

I find this fragrance lasts extremely well on my skin, a good 6 or more hours which I feel is perfectly satisfactory. Of course, longevity of the fragrance will vary from person to person as differing skin types hold fragrances differently.

**Availability And Other Products In The Range**

Apple blossom fragrance is available in various formats from the traditional eau de Parfum, which is of course lasts the longest, eau de toilette, body spray and a whole range of complimentary products such as soap, body lotion, shower products and talcum powder.

My current bottle of Apple Blossom eau de Parfum originally contained 100ml and I believe it cost in the region of £15.00. A smaller 60ml size is currently offered by amazon for £8.99.

      **My Thoughts and Conclusion**

I suppose Apple Blossom could be described as an old fashioned floral scent but it is one that has stood the test of time in my opinion.
Apple Blossom was a firm favourite of mine in my teens; I used to adore this scent and wore it regularly. Now I am older, I still like Apple Blossom, it is a light, refreshing blend of florals, ideal for day wear and I always have a bottle in my fragrance collection. What I particularly love about the fragrance is that the base notes of patchouli and sandalwood come through and linger on your skin.

I do own several products from the Apple Blossom range and like to layer them in order to make my fragrance last longer.

All in all, Apple Blossom good every day fragrance if florals are your thing, it is too light for evening use in my opinion, but it is a good all-rounder of a scent, not too expensive and it lasts well on my skin.
I would urge would be buyer to source a sample to try before buying as with all fragrances, what suits one person may not suit another.

I am awarding Apple Blossom Eau de Parfum a 5* rating and would recommend it to others.
