A bit of a blast from the past, but Acqua De Gio is a favourite golden oldie perfume that I still really like.

Acqua would suggest its very light, but actually I find it is quite a strong fragrance, but fresh and summery.

It is a captivating blend of melon and pears with a hint of hyacinth, jasmine, rose and lily, so it's a really fragrance.

It's the kind of fragrance you want to wear on a warm sunny day, with a skirt and a vest top- it's quite a feminine perfume and it makes you feel all girly !

It is a lighter version of the original Gio, though I haven't seen Gio on the shelves for ages - now that was really, really strong to the point of overpowering !

Acqua comes in a frosted glass bottle with a sophisticated and stylish gold coloured top with spray.

It is only available as an EDT, not a perfume and comes in the following sizes:

1.7oz
1.15oz - 50ml
3.4 oz - 100ml

It is often part of a gift set with a moisturizer, especially at Christmas.

Acqua is available on every beauty counter around the world, so it's easy to find and its always available at the airports too.

Since, I haven't been on holiday for a while and therefore not had the chance to buy it duty, I've recently got some from Boots online.

Boots is currently doing the 100ml version at £50.90 or £41.11 for the 50ml -both sprays.

With the larger bottle, Boots is offering 200 points and 164 points with the smaller one when you buy online - do this with one of the cash back sites and you'll reduce the costs even further.

Overall, a fresh fragrant girly perfume that its perfect for a summer day !
