“ Brand: Avon / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette / Gender: for women „
This scent has been out in the Avon books for a good while now. I can't remember if this one came out first or the 60's 1 came first, but they both launched within a short time of each other. I only bought this scent about 6 months ago as although it seemed to look alright, It just didn't look the kind of scent that would be a favourite of mine.
This comes in a 50ml bottle and I got it on the special offer price of £6. I think the right price of this is around £12, or £12.50 as most of the Avon Perfumes have went up in price.
The bottle looks like the Dooyoo picture. It is a quare shaped bottle which is clear glass and has a nice enough little pattern on the front. The lid is a shiny silver colour, and it looks alright. The box is simple enough and I just put the box in the bin anyway when I open a bottle.
So what does this scent smell like? It is described as having 'A romantic bouquet of blushed florals, voluptuous fruits and fresh, green sophistication'. Sounds quite nice I suppose. The Florals in here are Lily of the Valley - which is a scent that I don't like but it doesn't smell all that strong. The Fruits that are in here seem to be more Citrus scents. The Green part is kind of just Leafy Greens and it all goes together nice.
So after spraying this scent on it smells a nice sparkling scent. You can smell all the differerent notes to this, and although it is still a strong scent, it isn't overly strong. Just a nice strenght and at least you could spray this more if you were wanting a stronger scent. The scent lasted a good lenght of time as well and I could still smell this faintly around tea time and that was me spraying this around 7am.
It's not as if I don't like the scent as it is nice and fresh smelling, but there is a lot more nicer scents out there that I like more.
Worth a try especially if you get this at a good price.
I used to be an Avon Rep and so had the samples for this fragrance before I decided to get it for myself. The title doesn't really do it justice and the description in the catalogue is not the best either but the bouque from this perfume is just delightful with a flowery twist that is general on your nose. It is not overpowering as you would expect from the description used.
The fragrance lasts most of the day which is very refreshing. I like this fragrance so much that i brought a load of it before i stopped being a rep. To make the fragrance last longer my advice would be to get the body spray as well again it is not overpowering so your partner won't be holding their nose while your spraying away.
All in all Avon have done well with this perfume and i would recommend it for anyone young or old as a welcome addition to their collection.
Avon describes this fragrance as 'A romantic bouquet of blushed florals, voluptuous fruits and fresh, green sophistication'. I can't say I would have chosen it based on that description! However, Avon's delightful smelly pages captivated me! I was enchanted by the heady delights of this fragrance on the page, and it is even better in (on?!) the flesh! The 'florals' are mainly lily of the valley, which my mother informs me was very popular in the 50s. The 'fruits' aren't particularly evident to me, but are perhaps citrusy. The 'fresh, green sophistication' is provided by what I can only describe as a leafy undertone, which cools the headiness of the lily of the valley. This all makes for a deliciously feminine fragrance - glamorous and sexy. The '50s' label may put off younger ladies, but I'm 25, and I don't find it at all old-fashioned or grannyesque.
The fragrance lasts all day, although some will perhaps find it a little overpowering for daytime wear. I do, but I love it so much that I wear it during the day anyway! If you choose to wear it all day, it will certainly last! I can often still smell it the next day!
At £12 for 50ml, it's not the cheapest of the non-designer fragrances, and not the cheapest of Avon's range. It is, however, by far the best quality you will find for this price. Also, it's often on special offer for £8 or less, which is well worth it.
