“ Brand: Avon / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette / Gender: for women „
This scent came out a good few years ago and now is no longer in the main Avon books, but this can be found in the sale books now and again. This is good anyway as you get the product for a good price as well.
This comes in a 50ml bottle and I think that this usually cost £8 when it was sold for the full price, but I picked this up for the bargain price of £3. This being Avon it was on offer every now and again anyway, so you could pick it up for £5 quite often.
I quite like the bottle for this. It isn't overly fancy or that, but it just looks a bit different than other bottles out there. This is quite a slim bottle which has a bit of a shape to it. The glass is clear and you can see the light brown liquid through the bottle. The writing on the front is swirly and the black lid goes alright with the rest of the bottle. It's nice enough but again it's about what's inside that counts.
The scent of this is nice. There isn't all that much notes to this, it is just a kind of sweet and Musky scent. It seems to be mostly a Vanilla Musk. It is quite a heavy scent but this gets a bit lighter once it dries and warms to your skin. I quite like this smell. I find that this lasts surprising long, and although it doesn't last all that long in the same way that a more expensive designer scent does, but it does well for the price of this. I still went and reapplied it again in the afternoon but I could still smell this faintly.
I have bought this scent a few times and although I wouldn't say this will ever be classed as a favourite of mine, I do like to use it for a change now and again. It is a richer, Muskier scent that I would normally go for, and I would say that if you like Vanilla scented Perfumes then if you see this in the Avon sale book then it is definitely worth a try.
When it comes to my cosmetic and fragrance purchases I admit I'm a brand snob. I'm sure I'm not the only one on here that can admit to that.
However years ago I hit rock bottom and I had literally nothing to my name after leaving a partner and my life behind me. I had to start my life over with just a few pennies in my pocket. I moved back to my Mum's house and took a look around my empty childhood bedroom (all my stuff was at my exes and he was withholding everything) and I had nothing apart from what I stood up in. I remember crying my heart out (by the way I got everything back pretty quick when my step dad grabbed me and we ambushed my old home and I emptied the place) but in the meantime I didn't even have a can of deodorant! Lucky for me my Mum had an Avon rep and through her and the special offers and Mum ordering stuff and giving me the freebies I soon went from nothing to everything and as I stated in the meantime I got my stuff back but this kept me going in the meantime. So that's just a bit of background to my introduction to Avon and I'm greatful for it!
Nowadays though I go back to my statement at the top my review that now I'm a snob when it comes to purchases but I think you never forget the harder times. So when my rep, Anita comes I always, always order something whether I need to or not! You never know I may really need Avon again and as mum says you shouldn't cut off your nose to spite ya face lol
I usually stick to body sprays and stuff for a quid or on offer. I never buy fragrances normally because I find that for £12.00ish a bottle I can normally find a 'designer' brand in Tk max or somewhere like that and as I've got older I'm really fussy on what fragrance I wear, it must come from maturity lol
However she popped my catalogue through the door and I seriously needed nothing at all. Ive got no where to put anything (you'll know this is true if you read some of my other reviews!) So I thought I really need something small and I browsed my catalogue with a ciggie and a cuppa and spotted this. I did think twice for £8.00 but thought well if I don't like it it'll be an expensive air freshener! Before I purchased I did look on this site (the only site I use for comparisons) and there were no reviews! I was a bit gutted about that as there are writers on here that I really do trust the opinions of! Anyhow I decided in for a penny in for a pound, I'll give it a go!
What It is....
Just to clarify it is the be sensual Eau De Toilette in 50ml size (only size available by the way)
The bottle is clear with a black pattern on the front I cant work out what it's meant to be of though and in small black lettering just says be sensual. The bottle itself is almost like a curvy heart shape its very hard to describe but if you take a look at the photograph on the top of this review that's my bottle! lol It's got a spray pump action and a black push on lid and the liquid inside is a kind of blush wine colour. All in all its a very attractive bottle and it cant be knocked.
This is a hard one. As anyone who uses any of the Avon products knows there is very little information on any of their products at all, either on the packaging itself or on the website. I did want to list what Avon said about their product and then give you my verdict, ok call it cheating I hold my hands up lol
So ok I'm wearing it now....
It's very sweet and girly but mature at the same time. Its just a really feminine blend. I'd say its floral with a musk undertone. When you first spray it you don't get that harsh cheap smell you get with a lot of 'cheaper' brands. It doesn't actually need to 'settle' down any so you can spray it on anytime without thinking your going to smell overpowering. I can't work out if it has a honey or vanilla base. Simply its sweet and kind of exotic but not in a common way of trying to be different. It makes me think of lovely summers evenings!
It's very long lasting on the skin and very long lasting in the bottle.
I'd say it is suitable for any age and any time of day really. It's not a statement perfume but I do think its incredibly sexy and warm and I admit I wear it a lot now and actually own the matching body spray. I would definitely buy it again so well done Avon this blends very nicely with my 'designer whiffs'!
Normally £8.00 and totally recommended from me!
