“ Brand: Avon / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Parfum / Gender: for women „
When I was an Avon Rep I used to buy things out of the representatives catalogue more for the sake of the good prices than actually wanting the product, this perfume was one of those such products.
The perfumes is by Avon obviously and I bought it a few years ago now, it is one of the more established fragrances having been launched in 2002. The perfume usually costs around the £10 mark but with everything from Avon if you wait long enough it will come on an offer of some description and you can buy it cheaper.
The bottle for the perfume is a sort of icy blue colour which I think is quite nice and it has little diamontes on it making it a little bit sparkly which is nice although the diamontes don't sparkle massively. The bottle has a pump action top on it and there is a small see through cap which fits overt the top so that you can take it out in a bag with you and it not go off by accident.
The bottle is a bit of an odd shapes which adds to the look of it being a bit more expensive than it is, the bottle is sort of a rectangle shape but on an angle either side and joined with straight edges in the middle.
The perfume squirts from the bottle pretty easily once you have squirted a few times to get it moving through the pump. The smell is quite strong is smells flowery but very sweet and I cannot say I am overly impressed by it hence the fact I still have over half a bottle. I find that the smell lasts quite well and throughout the day I find the sweetness becomes quite sickly as the smell changes on my skin.
I think this is a decent priced perfume and it has great lasting power so if you like the scent of it it is a really good buy, the bottle looks pretty and not one you feel you would want to hide away. This was always a good seller so a lot of people must have liked it but I didn't as it is too strong and sweet for my liking.
I've been buying Dreamlife since 2002 when it was launched. I was an Avon rep at the time and a lot of fuss was made about it when it was launched. It had nice packaging and shiny diamontes on he bottle looked much more expensive that it really was, so it was a big seller.
Over time the bottle has been tweaked slightly so that instead of it now having diamontes on there there are just kind of "imprints" of diamontes - I guess that's a cost cutting exercise?!
The bottle is quite tall and kind of "off rectangular", with a chunky lid which has Dreamlife written on it. The box that the perfume comes in is blue with clear cellophane, and the packaging does still have a silver diamonte on it so at least that is something!
The scent itself is a woody floral scent and quite sweet, which I really like although I have heard others say it is too strong (Just to be clear, they've not said that to me whilst I was wearing it - that would just be rude!)
I think the bottle looks really pretty on your dressing table and it's fantastic value for money. I also like the fact that like most Avon perfumes you can buy other products to match and layer the fragrance.
I find it is a good all rounder perfume, for day or night. Whenever I wear it to work people always ask what it is and say that they like it - they're always really impressed when I say it's from Avon and it is under a tenner! In fact I got my last bottle on offer at just £3.50 - how good is that?!
Avon Dream Life Perfume
I received this perfume as a birthday present and it is a pleasant smell that I would use for special occasions.
It is a perfume that is produced from Avon. I personally feel that it is a strong perfume for special occasions and not really for everyday use.
The perfume is in a long thin rectangular bottle. The front of the bottle is frosted glass that is tinged blue. There is indented hexagons that to me look like diamante's even though they are not shiny.
The lid see through and is also slightly tinged blue. The lid has Dream Life written on it in fancy silver writing. The spray part of the bottle is shiny silver and you can see it through the lid.
The bottle is rather fancy looking and it looks nice sitting in your bathroom or bedroom drawer. Looking at the bottle would leave you thinking the perfume is posh and expensive. It looks like it is an upmarket product.
This perfume is a fresh, woody smell. It is quite a heavy perfume and you definitely don't need to spray a lot of it on you at any time. As a small amount it only needed the perfume lasts a long time. The smell is rather strong so make sure you don't spray lots on in a small room as you will find you will feel like you are eating the smell.
Personally I like the smell but only for a night out as constant use of this perfume would give me a headache as its so strong.
This product costs £10 and I feel it is average value for money. I only use this perfume occasionally so it lasts me a long time. The smell is pleasant but it isn't really anything special. I have other perfumes I would prefer the smell of. If you like the smell of this perfume will really only be personal preference. It is not a perfume I think I would buy again.
After being given a sample of this I decided to buy some in a clearance offer, however I soon got rid of it by giving it to my sister, she's always after perfumes and gets all my cast offs. For some reason the sample seemed far nicer than the actual fragrance. The bottle is pretty and thats about all that works in its favour.
The fragrance seemed overpowering and not the more delicate fragrance it had in the sample or on the fragranced page in the book. The scent hangs about in the air for a very long time but not in the dispersed way that some fragrances do, more like when you've been stood in an elevator with someone for too long and they're wearing a very strong perfume.
It works as a stocking filler for someone you don't see very often. Its just not all that dreamy a life when dreamlife is your perfume of choice.
Dreamlife Perfume is one of my bestsellers as an Avon rep. I have bought this once and I would buy this again.
As I said above this is made for Avon. As far as I know it has been out for the last few years.
I'll start with the packaging. The box is a light blue colour. It is rectangular and has 1 little silver dot up near the top of the box. The word Dreamlife is in swirly-ish lettering at the top.
The bottle is a slimline bottle and it has a few ridges at the side of the bottle. It has the same swirly lettering on the bottle. The bottle is see through glass and you can see the liquid through the bottle, which is a very light blue colour. The only size you can buy this is in 50ml
So what does this smell like? In the Avon book it is described as a Woody, Floral smell and it is in the Oriental section of their Perfumes. I guess it is a mix of woody, floral scents, but the floral part seems to be the more subtle of the 2. It has a kind of fresh, but musky scent to it as well and it is wearable day and night. It's not the strongest smell, but if you spray this and then spray it again about an hour later then it does built up the scent a bit better.
The normal price for this is £10, but is often on offer for £5, which is when I bought it. It's a nice, light fresh smell which is certainly worth the £5
Avon is a company i have known and trusted and used for years , Over 16 years to be exact so when a new product comes along i always like to give it a try.In my personal experience with avon i have found they always sell good products.
In all the years i have purchased from them i can say i have never had any bad effects or reactions..I love to try the perfumes and body sprays all the time..If like me you love to smell nice then this may be the perfume for you..
It comes in a neat bottle as you can see from the picture not too big and bulky..A bottle nice , neat and crisp just like its aroma..A package that fits into both day and night time just like its scent..
The perfume is good enough in my opinion to be up there with some of the best from Avon. I opened up the package and instantly fell in love with it. Its floral/powdery fragrance with a high feminine effect is so subtle and yet so distinct.A perfume that makes you feel sexy at any time of the day or night.
The perfume lasts for the whole day. Perfect for that romantic night if you're lucky enough..why not do your self a favour and treat yourself to a bottle ..£12 a bottle is a very good price to pay for a brand name that you know you can trust..
