Advantages: A beautiful scent.
Disadvantages: Doesn't last as long as other scents.
I have to say I am a complete creature of habit, knowing what I like and sticking to them, this applies to a great many things in my life, with my perfumes being one of them, yes, occasionally my Mum will buy me a newer scent, but I always eventually gravitated back to my old trusted and tested scents, with the one subject of this review being my second favourite!
The perfume in question is - "Avon - far away".
Now of all the beautiful bottles out there, which are sometimes better than the small of the perfume admittedly, this perfumes bottle is exceedingly old fashioned, with the bottle being frosted and round, with a round top and a tassel round the neck, this gives it a quite geriatric oriental look, though am not sure if that was what they were going for!
The scent of this however is the drawing point for me, being incredible sweet but distinctive too.
On the official Avon website, this is described as a mixture of exotic blooms, sandalwood with a really oriental feel, to me this stuff smells like a cross between spice and cream soda!
Once the top notes have calmed down a little, there is still a real sweetness about the scent, less cream soda-ish and more floral, but really seems to suit my skin chemistry, still being as appealing as when first sprayed.
There are also notes of jasmine, freesia, peach and rose, making this a delectable blend of florals and fruity notes, making this not too over powering, just incredibly feminine.
Longevity wise this doesn't last as long as a more expensive perfume would, but due to it's less inflated price (at present £13.00, and get any other perfume for £2.00, www.avon.co.uk), I have no problem having an extra spritz during the day, with this being my daily work perfume, knowing it won't break the bank if I use the bottle a little quicker than the norm.
This is a lovely eau de parfum that doesn't last as long as other scents on my skin, but is my favourite non going out scent, recommended!
Thanks for reading x
Summary: My second favourite!
