===THE BOTTLE DESIGN NOW IS DIFFERENT TO THE IMAGE ABOVE - IT IS A TALL STRAIGHT BOTTLE WITH A WHITE CAP===
===Why I Bought This===
I like browsing through the Avon catalogues and ordering different items to try. This fragrance, though it has been out since 2003, has not been one I have tried before.
Avon is a long established direct selling network which used to sell just door-to-door but you can order directly from their website these days if you do not have a local representative handy.
Avon has 18 different brochures issued throughout the year - or their stock can be viewed online.
'The floral perfume Pur Blanca, decorated with white flowers, was presented in 2003. It includes the notes of ylang-ylang, white freesia and aquatic mint in the top notes. The heart encompasses white rose, lotus and white peony, whereas the base notes carry light sandalwood, musk and heliotrope.' (fragrantica.com)
Comes in a tall white box.
Eau de toilette, 50 mls and made in Poland.
Contains 70.7% ethanol and is flammable.
Inside is a tall clear glass bottle with a spray top and a push on thick white plastic cap.
Full price is £11 but now on offer for £4.99.
Avon's website states - 'A delicate blend of pure white freesia and ylang ylang over peony, rose and waterlily. Floral, musk'.
This perfume has been around for a few years but I am only now getting around to buying and using it.
As you would expect from the name 'Pur Blanca', the bottle cap and box are white and the perfume itself is clear.
Being a 'white' fragrance this is floral and light and refreshing.
I was pleasantly surprised by how I liked this fragrance - though being so light and floral I think it may be better suited to the summer, rather than winter, months.
Being eau de toilette it was not overpowering or strong. It did last a few hours and after the initial strong smell when first sprayed on it settled down to just being a delicate fresh background floral fragrance.
One you use any time of day and one that could be given as a gift without much fear that the person receiving it would hate it.
A good inoffensive fragrance - not one I would rave about but very pleasant and refreshing to use.
Worth a try as you can always return it under Avon's guarantee if you find its not for you.
===Would I Recommend?===
I think that Avon Pur Blanca is one of Avon's nicest perfumes, i've found that a lot of Avon's perfumes are very weak and hard to actually smell when you are wearing them. But with this one you can actually smell it when you've got it on which is something i always look for in a perfume. Avon have been selling the Pur Blanca fragrance for quite a few years now, i was an Avon rep in 2006 and it was popular with customers then and it obviously still is now because it's still going.
It definetly has a musky scent so if that's what you're looking for then you'll love this, there is something very fresh and clean about it too, it gives you an aroma that smells like you've just stepped out of the shower. I think the fragrance is best worn on a day time because of its freshness and breeeziness, but it is great for a lady of any age and it's a perfume that is sure to attract compliments.
As with most Avon perfumes it is very cheap to buy and you can get it on the Avon website or from one of their brochures for £11 and that's for a 100ml bottle. Personally i wouldn't pay the full price i'd wait until it's on special offer because Avon have half price and similar offers all the time on their fragrances you just need to look out for them, that way you can get 2 perfumes for the price you would of paid for one!
Avon: Pur Blanca, Eau de Toilette is a beautiful fragrance that has Avon has been making for years. Products ranging from creams, perfumes to shower gels. I recently received my latest Pur Blanca perfume from my Avon representative a couple of months ago.
I used to get it when my mum and sister would let me steal a spray when I was 16 though now I'm older I just buy it myself.
Its kind of run in the family whether it's been a cream or a spray someone was using. I really like the smell and its not expensive you can get a small set from Avon now for £8.00 for three things: the shower gel, spray and a small bottle of perfume. The 50ml is usually £10 depending on where you get it.
I often use Avon's things but I'm not a huge fan of their perfumes. I like this one because it's a fresh smell it's not that type of perfume you use and end up smelling like a soap bar. The smell it soft pretty and not musky!
If you are going to buy it I suggest buying the 50ml, as it will last your far longer. The small bottle doesn't last that long for its price.
Smell: 9/10 Soft not sweet, fresh not musky!
Lasting Smell: 10/10 this really does stay on the skin most of the day and you do not have to roll in it to keep the scent. Two sprays the morning and afternoon you'll smell gorgeous!
Value for money: 10/10 it will last you a long time if you get the big size because you don't need to use too much.
Overall I really like this product so I give it a 10/10 for smell and everything.
Tip: Spray some on your finger and give it a dab on your neck for longer lasting Pur Blanca smell.
I have been using this fragrance for years now, mainly because I get so many compliments for it and secondly its good value for money.I have to agree with the other reviewer that it is a 'young' fragrance. But don't think 'fresh and fruity' Its mostly a very soft musk, but occasionally one can sniff a little floral notes in there. Its so light, yet somehow manages to stay on throughout the day(notes do get lighter however) I find its best used with the other products in the pur blanca range, i.e. the bath and shower gel, followed by the skin softener, and then topped with the eau de toilette.Unfortunately the bottle isn't the most appealing,i.e. beautiful,exquisite-you get my point, however for somebody who prefers whats inside over the outside, which I believe would be most of us,it's very ideal. They also do a 'pur blanca blush eau de toilette' which I have yet to try, however I feel the bottle to that one would be more appropriate in use with this fragrance.
Pur Blanca EDT by Avon has been on sale in their brochures and on their website for quite some time now. I myself have only just recently felt inclined to try it and I must admit that price was the reason for my doing so! It is usually £10 for a 50ml spray bottle but in the last brochure it was offered for only £4. I thought that was such a good price that I should try it and demonstrate it to some of my customers too.
For some reason I had thought that this would be a mature perfume and I was extremely surprised to find that it is really quite young. The scent is definetely floral but lightly so and with a very clean and fresh edge to it. The scent lasts quite well for an Avon perfume and I find that two applications in a day is plenty. Although some perfumes only require one application, I do not object to needing to touch up a perfume that costs as little as this does.
This is a very sweet, clean and fresh scent that would suit a wide range of ages and styles so it is definitely one to try if you are looking for a new perfume this year. Also in the range are a lovely thick shower gel, a skin softener (a moisturiser) and a body spray. All are less than £4 each and can frequently be purchased on sale too. This is an excellent everyday perfume that can be suitably worn to a wide variety of occasions and not be in the least out of place. I could happily wear this to both the office and Ascot which is rare in a perfume!
I bought this from the current Avon book, which I just got delivery of yesterday. I'd had the shower gel before and liked the smell and since this was on offer in the last book I thought it was worth a shot. I love perfume and use it everyday, so am keen to try new ones, especially when they are on offer, as you may find one you really like!
This is normally £10 for the 50ml bottle, but the offer was £4, which was great value. Also in the range you get the matching shower gel and body lotion.
I wasn't blown away by the design of the bottle. It is clear glass and a long thin shape, kind of like a rectangle. It has a white plastic lid and is a kind of slanted shape, so it sits on the bottle at an angle. The bottle design looks a bit cheap and I think for the £10 there are a lot nicer looking perfumes in Avon. The box was just a plain white box with the writing up the side.
Now to the smell. It is a nice, clean fresh smell. It doesn't smell fruity, musky or anything, it just seems to smell like fresh air, clean washing and just a simple fresh and light smell.
The only downside to this I think is that it doesn't last that long. With a lot of perfumes I find that I can spray the usual 3 squirts on my wrists, neck etc and although I spray it in the morning, I can still slightly smell it at night time. I foud that this smell wore off quite quick and although for the price I was happy to reapply through the day, I think when it is at normal price then you will go through the bottle quite quickly.
A nice, simply clean smell that I will buy again when on offer, but I wouldn't be happy to pay full price. I love the smell, but would like it to last longer for that price
