It's been a while since I have bought anythig from the Avon site online or from an Avon representative, but a few weeks ago I opened the door to find an Avon booklet in my letterbox and had a look through. I live rural and usually buy online but now that someone is calling round with the Avon book then I'm happy to order and get it delivered to the door.
I chose this Avon: Romantic Voyage, Eau de Parfum as I liked the look of the bottle and I also liked the price of £14 which is reasonable to pay for a 100ml bottle.
I collect perfume bottles and this one looks very dainty.
I also like the tones in this perfume as i love the musk scent and this has it in combined with peony and sweet marshmallow. This is a light floral perfume and it is a little sweet smelling without being too over powering.
You only need a little dab behind each ear and on the wrists for it to linger al day. I keep getting little wafts of it while I'm going about my daily business.
It also has a charm attached to the bottle of a little bird which adds to the charm of the bottle. I will leave the charm on the bottle when I add it to my collection.
I like the romantic scent of this perfume and it can be worn everyday and on evenings out.
it's the kind of scent I keep in my handbag as the bottle isn't too big and I like to smell nice when I'm out and about.
I would be happy to recommend this to you if you like the light floral scents in perfumes as it is light and sensual. A well named romantic perfume for all ages.
This would make a good present
I think i've tried all the Perfumes in Avon. I tend to try them more when they are on special offer and usually when they first come out as well, as I like to try new Perfumes as well.
This comes in a 30ml bottle and the right price of this is £14. A bit expensive for the scent I would say, since you get used to things being a bit cheaper in Avon. I think this was on offer for £9 when I got it. So a good enough price when I got it though.
The bottle looks alright for this. It is quite a plain bottle. The glass is clear and quite thick. The lid for this is quite chunky and looks a bit fancier and the only decoration is a little charm around the neck of this and this is in the shape of a Dove. You can see the light pink liquid through the glass. It looks all ok. Not the fanciest bottle but it's all about what's inside isn't it.
The notes in here are Pink Peony, Musk and sweet Marshmallow Guimauve, not sure what the last 1 is, but it all goes together well. There seems to be a bit of Pink Peppercorn scent to this I feel, but perhaps only a dash.
After spraying just 2 squirts of this I could smell this quite strongly. 2 squirts seems to be just enough for this on each point for me anyway. After this has dried then it turns into a nice slightly floral and sparkling scent. This lasts a good lenght of time as well. The scent lasts a good lenght of time as well and I could still smell this faintly in the afternoon.
This is a nice enough scent and although it will never be a favourite of mine and I have still got some of this left in the bottle as I only use it now and again it is still a scent I would consider using.
Due to how much I must spend in my Avon book my local representative always seems to be giving me freebies and samples, which is fantastic apart from the fact my daughter thinks that these things she be for her, due to them being Kaitlin sized!
One of the samples have recently received was a tiny bottle of the newest perfume available from Avon, this being "Romantic voyage eau de parfum".
Now Avon perfumes have always been a bit hit and miss for me, I do like some of the older varieties available (ie perceive, far away and any of their musk's), but I will never turn my nose up at a freebie, so (after managing to wrestle this from daughters sweaty grasp!) I slipped this into my work bag and away I went!
I will start with the scent first, as in fairness the bottle was a sample bottle, so until I looked in the brochure I had no idea what it looked like!
The scent is described as a mixture of pink peony, sweet marshmallow guimauve (which after a quick google is actually just marshmallow) and a feathery musk.
To me the scent is a sweet musk, with this being the latest incarnation of "today, tomorrow and always" perfume from Avon, and though nice enough is not as nice as the original.
The perfume would be ideal for day use, as to me this is more like a body spray kind of scent, the sort of thing I would wear for work rather than a special going out scent.
This really isn't that long lasting I'm afraid, I found I had a good dab of this stuff three times during a work shift recently, though I did get complimented on the scent of it, it didn't stay for as long as I was hoping.
The perfume isn't too heavy once on, being a more lighter version of the heavier musk based perfumes available, which I was glad of as heavy musk gives me a bad head.
The bottle is actually quite pretty, being a squat square shape, with a detachable bird charm, though I doubt very much (unless on a really good price deal) whether I will be buying the standard 30 ml sized bottle in the future.
Prize wise this is currently being sold at the slightly reduce price of £10 via www.avonshop.co.uk
This is a nice enough perfume, that is light enough for day wear, but just didn't last long enough for the price.
Thanks for reading x
