I really love getting the secret fantasy perfumes for my girlie friends around Christmas for stocking fillers or an extra little thing for their birthday present along with a make up or nail set from the Avon catalog especially since it quite frequently goes for around £6 or half price and smells and looks just as nice as Britney Spears or Beyonce's fragrance if not better in my opinion.
This particular range also comes in secret fantasy which is the original ans is slightly milder and pink in colour than the kiss version and it is quite powerful and it does stay with you for the entire evening with only a couple of pumps. Though I definitely think that it is a younger persons perfume as my granny had a go with it and she really did not like it. She described it as too overpowering and asked if Avon could bring back the Bond girl one instead, so in future I think I will offer her a milder scent like the more musky Far Away.
The Kiss version is really fruity and zesty with sweet and tropical accords so I do generally like it as was previously a big fan of zesty raspberry body spray and most of my girlie friends are bubbly people who like to wear a lot of red and black so the design of the bottle seems to match their fashion style and personality too especially since some of them are the life of the party.
According to Avon the full list of scents in this particular perfume are blackberry, green apple and mango; middle notes are rose petals, magnolia and violet; base notes are sandalwood, amber and moss. Though I don't think I picked them all up I generally did detect a very vibrant fruit variety but am not sure if the floral scents are so easily picked up.
I think Avon does a really lovely job with the packaging each perfume comes in a little glossy cardboard box red or pink in colour depending on which of the two secret fantasy you purchase to match the bottles. I find I really like the shape of the bottles and the font that they use too it just looks really professional and the spherical bottle just seems really easy to hold while applying it whereas I kind of find square or rectangular shapes can some times slip out of my hand in a steamy bathroom due to condensation which isn't great. The little charm on the top of the bottle is a lovely little touch also.
Overall I do rate these pretty highly considering similar high street perfumes cost up to and including £28 which is way over budget considering they all contain similar ingredients and some of the ladies high street brands smell absolutely vile to begin with. I do hope Avon continues to make these as they are a great we product which are great for wee gifts and stocking fillers and great for secret Santa.
Being an avon rep myself I have access to most of the leading avon brands of perfume and aftershaves. I have bought a few of the secret fantasy perfumes in different scents in the last few months both for myself and for others as gifts. This particular perfume scent is a new one developed in 2012 and is a a lovely fruity and floral scented perfume perfect for everyday use and at an afforadable price too. It comes in a lovely deep red box designed with the Secret Fantasy Kiss signature. For a 50ml bottle and priced on offer at roughly £6 a bottle its a completly gorgeous perfume for everyday use and is afforadble for every the lowest of incomes. It is just the right mix of leaving a lingering but not overpowering smell and is currently a hot favourite with customers of avon. Many of the avon perfumes come also in handing purse size bottles handy for nights out because they are so easily fitted into the smallest of bags!!
I am in general a fan of the Avon perfume range. I have purchased many over the years from various friends doing the rep work. I got secret fantasy about 2 years ago and really liked it, then the secret fantasy kiss came out in 2012 and the "sample" circle on the brochure smelled really nice but at that point it was £11 which I thought was a bit steep so I decided to wait until it went lower, thankfully it did
Available from your Avon rep or online full price I think its £12 but I got mine for £4.50 which was the best price Id seen it at. It normally ranges between £6-£12 depending on the offer at that time. On the Avon website it is currently retailing at £6.50. Online third party retailers like EBay and Amazon will also have it on sale, again prices will vary.
This comes in a red box which is simple in its design. The bottle is the same red colour and has a charm attached to it to stop the bottle accidently spraying. Its a simple design but it reflects the secret fantasy range well and all the bottles are the same shape but in a different shade of pink/red according to the type.
Upon spraying this it has a lovely hint of fruit. I am a massive fan of fruity sweet smells and this for me works in accordance to that. It does give off a wonderful hint of summer berries, apple and mango and reminds me of a lovely warm summer evening. I spray around 4/5 squirts on my neck and wrist and it lasts an ok amount of time. Avon perfumes in general don't tend to last all day, this lasts probably until around lunch time so maybe 3/4 hours if you spray loads of it on. I think this is aimed at the younger market, the double page advert they had in the brochure had a young women in it so it would indicate to me its aimed at 16-24 year olds. I am 27 but I really like to wear this for work or on a lazy sunny afternoon. I think it would make a great gift for those who do like fruity smells.
For £4.50 I was more than happy with it. I don't use it that often but when I do its mainly for work. Avon as a whole do great perfumes for people like me who save up all the "best" (and expensive) perfumes for the weekend and wear cheaper ones during the week. This for me is one of my favourite Avon do and when the bottle does run out I shall be buying this again
I often use Avon Perfume. I wear Perfume every day and although I do have and wear some more expensive scents they are more for special occasions whereas something that is priced Okies good for everyday use.
There is now a few different scents in the Secret Fantasy range and I have tried them all. They come in the standard 50ml bottle and some are in little 15ml purse sprays which are handy if you just want a little scent to carry around.
The 50ml bottle costs £11 on the normal price but with lots of Avon products it will be on offer at times. I paid £6.50 for my bottle about 6 weeks ago. I always try to get a good offer. Why pay any more than what you have to I think?
The bottle looks like the picture on here. It's an ok bottle nothing all that fancy but it looks nice enough. Now onto the important part - the scent.
This smells a little different than what I thought it would. With the deep red colouring of the bottle I was thinking that this would be a heavy, rich scent but there is a quite a few lighter fruity sparkling scents in this. I am never great at picking out notes in Perfumes so I ended up looking in the Avon book and online for the notes. The scent is described as being a Floral and Fruity scent. In the scent there is Blackberries, Violet and Magnolia Blossom.
When I spray this it smells quite strong to start with but once this has dried then it settles into a nice scent. I can't say that I can pick out the Blackberries but there is definitely a sparkling fruity scent through this. I think the main scent I can smell is the Violet and it is a nice scent altogether.
The bad thing I would say is like with most Avon Perfumes I don't think that the scent lasts all that long as they all seem to wear off within a few hours. I don't mind to reapply if the scent isn't all that expensive but if you are paying normal price then the bottle won't last all that long really.
A nice scent that I would consider to buy again in the future.
Avon Secret Fantasy Kiss.
50 ml bottle and made in Poland. Contains 70% ethanol alcohol and is flammable.
Eau de Toilette.
Comes in deep red box graduated down to black with an 'S' and image of red lips and white hearts.
Box is red inside with images of 'S's and lips., the box also has a white cared liner.
the bottle is roundish, heavy and dumpy and made of deep red clear glass with stray top. This bottle does not have any cap at all but has a metal ring which fits around the 'neck of the spray to stop it being depressed. On the end of the collar is a lips charm attached by a short piece of chain.
The charm is detachable and made from cast iron, and is on a 2cm stainless steel chain.
'Reveal your sensual side with a fragrance that wraps romantic florals with passionate fruits.'
This range also has Secret Fantasy and Secret Fantasy Star.
Full price £11 but currently £6.50.
Fragrantica state - 'Avon Secret Fantasy Kiss by Avon is a Floral Fruity fragrance launched in 2012. Top notes are blackberry, green apple and mango; middle notes are rose petals, magnolia and violet; base notes are sandalwood, amber and moss.'
This perfume came out last year but I have only just got around to trying it.
I must admit I wasn't expecting much as to me the box and branding seemed a bit tacky. But never judge a book by cover they say so i thought I would get a bottle when it was on offer.
The box is supposed to be romantic being deep red and black.
The bottle itself is a lovely deep shade of red, though the funny way you have to stop the spray from being depressed - by fitting this weird little metal collar which has a little lips charm attached is a bit odd and gimmicky, but is what they use for the three Secret Fantasy fragrances.
When first sprayed on this did seem very sweet and sickly. But as it toned down I was actually quite surprised as I was beginning to like it.
The fragrance is supposed to contain fruits and florals - which indeed it does. I would say the fruits to me are more berry like than apple and I can possibly detect a little violet rather than rose. For the price and the fact that it is only an eau de toilette I think this perfume lasts rather well, around the 3-4 hour mark.
This has been a pleasant surprise and I would enjoy using in the future.
Although sell a little Avon to my friends not one of them has bothered with the Secret Fantasy range and I am sure the marketing is what puts them off - as it did me.
Not a sophisticated perfume but nice and fruity if you like that sort of thing. A great everyday sort of fragrance.
