Frangrantica..com state - 'Top notes provide citrusy freshness of bergamot combined with creamy notes of Tahitian gardenia dominant in the heart. The composition lines up notes of cashmere wood warming floral notes and offering the perfect hot finish'.
This is a new fragrance brought out by Avon in 2013 and I ordered one to see what it was like.
It was 'composed' by the famous perfumers Oliver Cresp (who created Angel) and Harry Fremont (who has worked on Avon's Pur Blanca and Extraordinary).
The box and packaging are very feminine in pale pink, and the bottle continues that theme by being the shape of a curvaceous woman's body.
The pale, pale pink of the perfume itself also gives an impression of delicate femininity.
The cap is a bit of a disappointment as it is virtually the same as two other Avon perfumes and seems to show a lack of originality with the packaging.
Anyway the proof of a perfume is in its smell!
As you would expect from delicate and feminine packaging the perfume itself is not overpowering. To begin with I thought it was a bit too faint and delicate when I first applied it. But the smell is surprisingly long lasting and I can even smell it on my arm after showering. It has been mentioned that the inspiration for this fragrance was the smell of a woman's skin so I was expecting it to be quite understated anyway. However understated does not mean it is non-existent and this perfume lingers for many hours on your skin giving you lovely wafts of aroma when you move. It is not the sort of fragrance that arrives in a room before you do and probably it would only be smelt by people getting quite close to you.
This is an understated, feminine and delicate perfume but it does have staying power. Light enough for daytime use but also feminine enough to wear in the evening.
I would also say that while being a sort of fruity floral it also has qualities I would class as powdery. I think this is quite an inoffensive perfume that I am sure could be given as a gift without causing any problems.
However it is not really a run of the mill Avon fragrance and is surprisingly pleasant to smell on oneself throughout the day. It smells much more expensive than most of the basic perfumes form Avon. It is also light enough to wear though the summer but has enough staying power to last for many hours.
Long lasting, feminine, fruity, floral, powdery, expensive, soft, gentle.
