A Must-Have Summer Scent (Avon: Tahitian Holiday, Eau de Toilette)

Advantages: This is a gorgeous scent that is presently available very cheaply.

Disadvantages: It is a seasonal perfume that disappears in the winter!

Avon Tahitian Holiday Eau de Toilette is a must buy for fans of summery scents at present. A 50ml bottle of this product usually retails for £10, but Avon have it available on special offer for just £5 at the moment. I think that is a pretty incredible price for any perfume, and especially one as nice as this.

I think the bottle is a very attractive design that is ideally suited to a summer dressing table. It is a long, ice blue glass bottle that is in a tear drop design. The plastic ice blue cap feels a little on the cheap side, but I do not expect perfection for a product of this price. On the front of the bottle there are brown, intricately designed flowers with the name of the perfume written across the front. This might sound like an obvious thing to mention, but not all of Avon's perfumes have their name written on them in a prominent place and this can be a nuisance.

The brochure describes this perfume as being fruity and floral, but there is something else that dominates this scent. The strongest smell that comes off this perfume is coconut, and it is the absolutely devine sweet and fresh kind of coconut. I find that this perfume is easily absorbed by my clothes and hair, and the scent stays true all day long. It is probably a strange thing to comment about a perfume, but in some ways I find that it is like a cross between a perfume and a fabric conditioner. I say this because I find that the scent is repeatedly released throughout the day whenever I am caught by a gust of wind. I think that is an especially nice feature for a summer perfume to have, as it makes a refreshing breeze a double joy on a hot summer's day!

As I said above, this perfume is presently available on special offer for a very good price. The current brochure also has a scented page in it if you are interesting in finding out a little bit better what this perfume smells like before you buy it. I really like this perfume and am glad that Avon bought it back again this year. I will happily wear this throughout the summer and it will be a must-have for my summer holiday this year.
