The Product ~ 'When sleeping women wake, mountains move'! (Tahitian Proverb)
This wonderfully aromatic body mist comes in almost identical container as Avon's other similar range, the Hawaiian shores eau de toilette. A fun twirling wave sits upon five images of pretty flowers to denote a 'holiday' feel to the spray. A simple transparent pop off cap reveals the easy to press nozzle that releases a light but strong spray of the contents.
Usage Experience ~ 'The well trodden path is not always the right path' (Tahitian Proverb)
As with the Hawaiian Shores eau de toilette, this too is a fragrance that is particularly suited to the summer season, perhaps on a warm breezy sultry evening out! With its practical spritz nozzle, the spray comes out in a sharp short blast. I apply the body mist at around seven inches from my body to afford a lovely misting effect. The spray feels similar to the aqua refreshing sprays available, with its cooling pleasant feeling to my skin.
Unlike the Hawaiian Shores EDT mist, this one has a more sensual bouquet with initial top notes of Jasmine, coconut and overtones of musk. I cannot detect the notes of ginger at this point that is mentioned on the scent's advertisements. Ironically, the middle notes are commented on as being that of Jasmine and coconut that I detect in the Top notes, but here again, I sense a different aroma, that of the ginger I couldn't smell within the Top notes! The fragrance settles down to base notes of a wonderful exotic musk with undertones of cyclamine and jasmine. I adore this gorgeous mixture of a warm and rich bouquet.
I love to spray this tropical aromatic spritz all over my body, giving a wonderful effect as I walk. And just like my Hawaiian Shores, I spray the perfume into the air, and immediately walk underneath as the spray provides my hair with a noticeable essence.
Would I Recommend? ~ 'A single roll of taro top is delicious if seasoned with affection' (Tahitian Proverb)
Yes, I would definitely recommend this luxurious eau de toilette. This wonderful combination of exotic flowers and fruit affords a rich aroma to the skin that last for several hours. I purchased this perfume via my local Avon rep, but the product can be purchased on such sites as Amazon and Ebay for £4.50 or less.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review on Avon Tahitian Holiday Exotic Body Mist. I hope it was beneficial :~) xXx
I always feel naked if I don't spray some sort of fragrance on me before going out anyway, luckily im not naked though lol!
I'm never satisfied with just the smell of soap or body lotion I have to spray something, only I don't like using my best perfume for just day wear. I'm not overly fussy with body sprays etc and I like to try something new so I was pleased when my mum passed on a bottle of her Avon Tahitian holiday exotic mist.
The bottle it comes in a see through plastic bottle with a turquoise lid and spray top, the sticker is dominantly turqouise, a real beautiful colour with brown, orange and pale pink flowers decorating it slightly at the bottom. It looks very rich and true to it's name 'exotic' and I couldn't wait to try it after my shower.
Spraying it over my body I noticed instantly that it does spray out as a very fine mist. It leaves my skin wet as soon as it touches my skin but this seems to dry up almost immediately and it doesn't leave any wetness or oilyness to my skin.
The smell is very refreshingly like coconut, light and airy, yet it has a sweet depth to it. The light and airyness about it gives off that holiday feel when you cool yourself off somewhere hot and sunny and the sweet depth of coconut reminds me of sun lotions and oils you smooth over your skin when you are on holiday. The world 'holiday' in the name of this exotic mist is certianly lived up to in it's scent. Although it has a sweetness to it's cent it's far from sickly or overpowering, as it has that 'light', cooling fragrance to it too. I did mention it smells slightly of coconut, again this isn't too strong it just has a faint coconut scent, which I'm sure adds to the sweetness in the smell.
I was a little worried the scent wouldn't last all that long, especially as after the initial spritz of the mist and that whiff of stunning scent it soon dies down. However I was surprised when I first used it to keep getting a sweet smell flow past my nose every now and then, and people even commented on it too. This, in my opinion, is definitely one to try.
I have been using the Perfume of this for a while now and although it isn't my favourite scent, it makes a nice change and more the kind of scent that I use more in the Summer as it is that light kind of scent. I like to use this Body Spray as well, as you get nearly all the scent but it's that bit lighter since it is a Body Mist. Along with Perfume I wear Body Spray every day as i'm sure most people do anyway.
This comes in a 100ml pump action bottle and I think the right price of this is around £3.80. I've seen this for sale around the £1.80 mark and I got this in the last Avon book for £2. Perhaps a bit expensive for a Body Spray, but Avon's Sprays seem to keep their value and are that bit more expensive. Some of them I can't say are worth it to be honest. Not sure why they are all so expensive.
Anyway this comes in a bottle that looks like the Dooyoo picture. It is quite a slim bottle which stands tall enough. It is a plastic bottle which has a light blue tinge to it and the label that is on here is covering most of the bottle, but you can see how much of this liquid you have used by peeling a bit of the label off or trying to look at the bottom bit of the bottle which has a small part which isn't covered. The label looks alright with the light blue and brown bits on it.
Just a few squirts of this give a good coverage over your body area. Since this is a pump action spray then 2-3 sprays spray a good amount out and cover a good distance as well. Also since this is a Pump then I find that the Spray lasts a bit longer as well compared to an Aerosol, so perhaps not all too bad for economy.
So how does this smell? It is a nice scent. It smells fresh and airy scented but also you get what I feel is a kind of Salty Aired scent as well as a Coconutty kind of scent as well. It isn't overly strong and seems to have a sparkling scent mixed through which seems to break the notes up. All in all it is a nice scent.
I would recommend this Body Spray and the Perfume from the range. Worth a try and especially when it is on a special offer.
Avon Tahitian Holiday Exotic Body Mist was my go-to fragrance for all of last summer. It's light, perfect for day time wear and also for those who get headaches from strong scents, like my mother. I own the body mist, perfume and hair mist and the smell is consistent throughout all products. The scent itself if lovely and coconutty, and will provide a light fragrance for up to 6 hours. If you want a longer lasting scent, with a stronger scent, then defiantly try the perfume with this as the same scent will keep all day. The spray is easy to use, and great to throw into your bag. I find the cap sometimes comes off however, so I find it best to store this in my make-up bag instead of letting it float around inside my bag amongst my other junk. One bottle has lasted me a good few months. The smell is quite feminine, but not overly sweet. I would recommend this product to people going on holiday, who like soft scents that aren't overly sweet and also maybe younger girls who want to smell good, but without the overpowering smell of perfume.
The Avon Tahitian holiday exotic body mist was one of my favourite products that I took on my summer holiday last year it is perfect for summer days and nights and just smells divine.
The bottle is clear with a squirter on the top which sprays out like most liquid products. The lid that clips on is very tight and secure so its perfect for taking on your travels and the bottle is quite sturdy as well so you should not have any leaks or spills.
This is an absolutely gorgeous summer scent, because I took it on holiday with me now every time I smell it I can imagine being on the beach. So if like me and staying at home this year spray a bit of this and you can just imagine being somewhere hot and exotic.
The scent is made up of tropical coconut, white blossoms, ginger and Tahitian tiare flower.
I would say that the strongest scent in this spray is coconut, you can defiantly smell this above the other scents. This is what makes the scent smell so tropical.
Using the product
I really like this product as it isn't too heavy on your skin. When I'm on holiday I don't tend to wear perfumes so this is perfect. It is a lot cheaper than perfume as well and I think does a better job especially if you want to keep your skin moisturised.
All you need to do is spray the product onto your skin and rub in. You do not need too much of this product as the smell will last all day, if you apply too much it does make your skin feel greasy. But if you use the right amount you will smell gorgeous and have look glowing as it gives your tan a nice sheen.
I think you can wear this at any time of your holiday as it is an all round exotic scent which makes it perfect during the day if you are just chilling out or at night if you are out on the town.
This product is usually priced at £3.50 but I have seen it on offer in the past couple of Avon catalogues.
There are other products also available in this range, such as the perfume which is priced at £10. Products can be purchased online on the Avon website or through your local Avon representative.
This is the perfect product which will leave your skin looking, smelling and feeling great. 8 out of 10.

Having fallen in love with the Avon Tahitian Holiday 50ml Eau de Toilette, I had no hesitation in buying the matching Tahitian Holiday Exotic Body Mist too. The idea behind this was to use it in conjunction with the perfume and layer the scent up to make it last even longer, plus it's good for a quick top up.
For lovers of coconut scents, the Tahitian Holiday scent range is a must and this Body Mist is no exception. The fragranced mist comes in a pump action spray bottle which is light blue in colour and has swirls and flowers on the front in a tropical, complimentary brownish colour scheme. Overall it's a decent looking bottle for a body mist, and I like it.
A 100ml bottle of the Body Mist usually sells for £3.50, but it's currently on offer on the Avon website for £1.75, so that is an absolute bargain! It was cheap before, but that makes this lovely scent an even better buy!
The scent of the Body Mist is obviously a more watered down version of the matching Eau de Toilette, being a light, exotic and wonderful smelling coconut fragrance, intermingled with exotic flowers such as jasmine. The fragrance is feminine and like the Eau de Toilette is perfect for wearing either on holiday or on Summer days at home. It's not really a Winter scent, and is far better suited to nicer weather.
The scent lasts very well from the Body Mist, particularly when it's used together with the Eau de Toilette and layered up. This is how I use it, and it works really well in providing an all-over base for the EDT to work from.
In general, as with the perfume, I can highly recommend the Tahitian Holiday Exotic Body Mist. It's a very cheap, highly effective and wonderful smelling way for me to prolong my matching EDT, but even without this, it's a great way to get the lovely, tropical, exotic scent of holidays onto your skin. Highly recommended.
Avon Tahitian Holiday Exotic Body Mist is a product I have used and enjoyed wearing. I feel it has a very pleasing coconut based scent that is easy for women of all ages to wear. I first bought some of this after using the matching Avon Tahitian Holiday eau de toilette and have found it works well with that.
If like me your are keen on coconut based scents this will appeal as it evokes a nice light coconut based summer feel that is perfect for hot days and warm summer nights. The Body Mist is a much cheaper way to enjoy the Tahitian Holiday scent and it can be sprayed all over the body to give a full on effect.
As the fragrance is on sale as a 50ml for £10 a bottle, I have found it to be economic to pay £3.50 for the matching Avon Tahitian Holiday Exotic Body Mist and use that as a way to extend the life of the fragrance. Buying the Body Mist is a good way to enhance the fragrance by layering the two and topping up with the all over Body Mist spray.
The Tahitian Holiday Body Mist is light and fresh and the coconut fragrance really comes through rather strongly. I like the fact that the Body Mist comes in the same sky blue coloured bottle although in this case it is a plastic one. It has a very pretty motif that has the same tonal hints of gold and brown. The Body Mist can be sprayed on via the spray top applicator.
The coconut tone that is in the actual fragrance is also in the matching Body Mist. I find it easy to apply as I can spritz this on to damp skin and allow it to sink in and then spray the main fragrance onto my wrists to ensure the scent remains true. The Body Mist is nice to wear and lasts very well.
Within the bottle you get 100mls of the Body Mist which is light on the skin with sweet summery mix that is very warm and exotic. Its a very summery exotic scent that would be perfect for wear when on holiday but can be just as nice on a warm day in the uk. There are floral tones to the Body Mist that coordinate with the fragrance itself and the two together work very nicely. As I really like this fragranced Body Mist and feel it offers good value for money I feel it ought to get 4 stars.
I originally purchased this body mist after smelling one of thoses scented pages in the avon catalogue. The smell reminded me of holidays sort of coconut exotic smell like a nice sun tan lotion which may sound a bit strange but I like that smell and it put a smile on my face.
I wear it as a day fragrance just a quick spritz to freshen up on a nce summers day. The bottle is clear so you can see the liquid inside and it has a pump action spray under the plastic lid which releases the fragrance. The body mist fragrance contains tropical coconut which is the main smell I can smell also white blossoms, ginger and Tahitian tiare flower which all equals a very nice fragrance for me.
You do not need much of this fragrance as it does last all day be careful not to over do it though because it can make your skin feel a little greasy as it is a body mist not a pefume so is made up differently.
A botle of this body mist cost me £3.50 not bad for a scent that lasts all day. I also purchased the matching perfume as well for night wear which cost me £10 you can buy them on line as well as from an avon representitive.
This is a fragrance I will normally only wear in summer thats personal choice though and I give it 4 stars.
