“ Brand: Avon / Type: Fragrance / Concentration: Eau de Toilette „
My mother is an Avon rep so I get to have a look through an extra Avon brochure especially for the reps with every campaign.
It was there that I found Treselle Mystique for just £3.75. The original brochure price was £13.00 so I made quite a saving.
~ Bottle ~
It comes as a 50ml eau de toilette. It is not something I would have usually chosen for myself, but the price persuaded me.
I have tried the original Treselle perfume by Avon and although it wasn't my favourite scent I did like it so how bad could this one be?
The reason I wouldn't usually have chosen this is because I think the bottle suggests the scent could be quite dark, spicy or masculine, none of which appeal to me much.
The bottle is quite tall and thin and rounded towards the top. The bottom of the bottle is made from clear glass, but the top of the bottle is made from black glass and the lid of the bottle is made from black coloured metal with 'Treselle' embossed on the side of it.
~ Scent ~
The fragrance was introduced by Avon back in 2011.
The composition features jasmine, rose, white honey and bellini.
It is described by Avon as an oriental fragrance, which I agree with. I can detect the florals in it and the honey.
It is quite a sophisticated scent.
The florals are quite sharp, but in a good way. They are toned down by the honey note, which is rich, deep and warming.
The fragrance has definitely impressed me. It smells as though it would be a lot more expensive than it actually is, even at the full price of £13.00.
It is very long lasting on my skin, still evident 10 hours after application, which I have been very impressed with.
It is quite heavy and deep so it is one I would choose for night time wear rather than for during the day. The sillage is good and it is quite impactful.
It may be a bit heavy for some younger girls or teenagers, but otherwise I can imagine this scent on women of all ages. It is quite a mature scent. I am in my 20's and I really like this, but can imagine women in their 50's enjoying this as well.
It's been a while since I used up my bottle of the original Treselle by Avon, but I think that this does bear a vague resemblance to the original.
~ Conclusion ~
This is a lovely fragrance.
I am really pleased to have managed to get it so cheaply. It seems to have been taken out of the Avon brochure so I think it must be being discontinued, but I imagine it will be making an appearance in the Avon sale brochure in the coming months.
I would recommend this fragrance. It is impressively long lasting for an eau de toilette. The fragrance is deep, dark and mystical and I can imagine wearing this on nights out as it is heavy and has good sillage.
