I always buy my Husband branded aftershaves for special occasions but for everyday purchases I tend to stick with Avon as some of them smell great and the price is much more tempting. My husbands favourite has always been Hugo Boss bottled so this one has a lot to compete with to meet his standards.

True Force is one of my favourites from Avon that I buy for my Husband, I also sometimes spray a little on myself when he is away for the night and I find it helps me sleep if I can smell him. I first bought the aftershave as it was an introductory price of £5 which I felt was low enough to waste if he really didn't like it. The aftershave is one of Avon's own so you can only buy it online or from an Avon representative although you should be aware if you are buying online you have to pay for delivery on orders under £20. The aftershave normally costs £13 but is often on buy one get one half price offers and you can also buy the deodorant spray to match.

The aftershave is packaged in a black cardboard box with the name of the product on the front and a little green logo alongside it which I think is really striking against the black box. On the box there is a description of the product and also contact details for Avon in plenty of different languages. Inside the box the aftershave is packaged in a black glass bottle where half of it is the plastic lid so it actually doesn't hold as much as the bottle makes it seem, the bottle has a grenade sort of look to it in my opinion. The bottle isn't exactly attractive but isn't something I mind having stood in the bathroom either, it is cylindrical in shape and it holds 75mls.

The description of the aftershave is "an exhilarating adventure, a fresh rush of sage and lavender leads to a rugged finish of raw suede and warm oakwood" I personally hate lavender and certainly cannot detect it in this aftershave, I find it woody and musky and I absolutely love it.

The aftershave sprays out really well so a couple of squirts is plenty for a great level of fragrance, the aftershave is strong to begin with and takes about 10 minutes to settle down fully. The aftershave has fantastic staying power and my husband can apply it on a morning and still smell of it when he comes home on an evening. The aftershave is really gentle and has never caused any issues on my Husbands skin or my own and even our young girls end up smelling of it as it transfers between people on contact.

I really love this aftershave and my husband has actually stop asking for his Hugo Boss quite so much and is happy with this one, this is a decent price, smells gorgeous and the staying power is the best that I have ever known from an aftershave.
