Avon Windscape Her Eau de Toilette
Advantages: Fresh summery ozone smell
Disadvantages: Discontinued by Avon
===Why I Got This===
I was able to buy this from Avon in their Clearance section a while ago at a very reasonable price so decided to try it as, although now discontinued by Avon, it was a new one for me.
Avon is a direct selling cosmetic's company originating in the USA. These days you can purchase via their website or the traditional method of using their door to door representatives.
Launched in 2010 by Avon and now discontinued.
The box states - 'Escape with the wind...sunny citrus and refreshing apple sparkle through this airy transporting blend of aquatic florals and white linen musk'.
Comes in a light blue box with white wisps to represent clouds possibly. The box is lined with white card.
Eau de Toilette - 50 mls. Made in Poland.
Contains 69.9% ethanol alcohol - flammable. Also contains oxybenzone.
Comes in a curved clear glass bottle in a sort of teardrop shape.
The perfume is a very pale blue colour and the cap is opaque white plastic.
Now discontinued by Avon but can still be purchased on Ebay for around the £8 mark.
I paid about £3 for mine.
The box it came in was quite sturdy and the pale blue colour does represent the fact that the perfume is called 'Windscape'. Also the very pale blue colour from the box is reflected in the perfume itself. However the plastic cap feels very cheap and tacky.
I would say this is definitely more a summer fragrance and not one you would really want to wear all year round.
It has a very ozone type of smell to it - personally I do not detect much citrus, no apple and also no musky undertones.
After first being sprayed the perfume soon tones down to being a delicate and gentle sort of ozone smell - not too intrusive at all. It is pleasant enough in its way and does last a good few hours for the price but is not one I would be mad keen on to buy again. To me this perfume does not appear to have any middle or base notes and just continues to smell the same all the time.
There is nothing horrible about this perfume and I would say it is inoffensive and slightly refreshing and would suit daytime wear through the summer as it is light enough to not be annoying or sickly.
However this is not the sort of perfume you would wish to wear for evenings out.
I do not think this is a sort of fragrance that anyone would rave about but would be used when you just wished to use 'something'. Although I sell Avon I do not think I ever sold a bottle of this perfume so possibly it was not popular and that is why Avon has discontinued it.
There may be those who really do like the ozone smell and therefore this perfume would suit them.
3 stars - an ok fragrance but I would not bother to buy again.
