This is the best perfume from the Beckham range. The bottle is exquisite and has a beautiful, feminine design. It would make for a perfect gift. I really love the depth and delightfulness of the fragrance. It literally puts a smile on my face. I would certainly buy this again and would recommend it to ladies of all ages.
I am in no way a fan of the Beckhams, particularly Victoria Beckham and to be honest I would never have endorsed any of their merchandise such as their fragrance. as I think it gets to the point of 'how much money do you really need?' when they launch yet another Beckham accessory. Anyhow, having recently done a favour for a friend, she unexpectedly produced a bottle of this Beckham Signature for Women spray, and so obviously I was grateful.
After looking on the internet, I see you pick up a 50ml bottle of the fragrance at around £14, which is a pretty good price. When I took the bottle out to look at it, I was actually very pleasantly surprised at how feminine and demure it was. It certainly wasn't over the top and I actually thought it would look rather nice sitting on my dressing table with my other fragrances. The bottle is clear with a purple/pink backdrop and a few long stemed flowers as a pattern. The bottle is rectangular as is the silver lid, and it does look very nice.
This fragrance claims to be a woody and sensual scent, capturing Victoria's style and sophistication, her flair for fashion and femininity. A bit of a waffle in my view, and I don;t think this fragrance reflects anything about her at all.
The top notes in this fragrance are candy apple and anise flower with heart notes of vanilla and helitrope and base notes of amber, musk and patchouli.
When I first used this fragrance on my skin, I immediately (againt all natural inclinations) liked the scent. It was very feminine yet light and summery, and I felt it was the kind of the scent you could wear at anytime of the day. The vanilla is definitely able to be detected in this scent, but overall I would say that it was quite a fruity fragrance, rather than the sensual scent that it claims to be.
After putting this on in the morning, I was impressed by its staying power and was getting compliments from others even after lunchtime. It had obviously weakened somewhat, but I still could detect some whiff of the scent on my skin in the afternoon, so its durability is pretty good in my view.
All in all, as much as really wanted to dislike this product simply because of whose name was on it, I couldn't and in fact it is now one of the fragrances in my collection that I wear the most.
As a Christmas present from my bestmate/flatmate I got a bottle of this scent. I had previously mentioned I had sniffed it in Boots and rather liked it and so I was pleased that I got a bottle of it (along with lots of other goodies_ from her lol.
My eau de toilette came in a bright purply coloured box, embossed with darker purple flowers on it and on the front of course we are told what it is and the size is stated (which in my case was 30ml) and on the back contact details for Coty (the manufacturer of the product) are given. The bottle is very plain and understated being square in shape and made of see-through glass which again on a silver section to the front of the bottle I am told that it is Beckham Signature and to the top of it there is a large oblong silver coloured lid that simply pulls off to reveal a silver push button sprayer under it. On the bottom of the bottle we are again told what it is, the size is stated and simply are again told that it is manufacturered by Coty and there are some small purple flowers depicted again this time up the back of the bottle so you can see them through the front of the bottle. I must admit I like the sleek bottle, I find the bottle robust enough, the lid secure enough and it doesn't scream its a celebrity scent or anything cheap looking at all.
Well the eau de toilette is a light purply colour and transparent. You use this as you would of course any other fragrance and gently spray it on!
To me this is a sophisticated blend of fruitiness and florals with a really musky and sensual undertone to it. It is a blend of candy apple, anise flower, vanilla, orchid flower, heliotrope snd then patchouli, amber and musk give it that musky tone that I simply adore!
For me I can really smell the flowers within it which are tamed down with a hint of what to me smells of vanilla which adds a slight sweetness and the patchouli gives it a really musky, sexy kick.
I didn't expect this to be so lovely on, when first sprayed I get many comments and people are surprised when I tell them that it is a Victoria Beckham fragrance as this is just such a grown up, womanly and sophisticated smell. I feel incredibly sexy when wearing this and as I say when first sprayed on the skin it smells highly and for that reason I would call it a night time scent.
However much I like it though and however much I spray on I can't make it last above an hour. I have even asked people to sniff me when I've had it on and after an hour they can't smell a thing....longevity this just doesn't have however as the bottle is robust and the lid is secure you can pop it somewhere like a handbag if you want to and top up which is what I do with it and as I love this well blended scent so much I do that with no bother or quibble.
At around £15.00 a bottle (in all good chemists such as Boots and Superdrug) and in some supermarkets and online stores like Amazon this is rather readily available and other matching products such as shower gel and body lotion are also available to purchase. I only wish this held its scent on me a bit longer but for the price I don't mind regulary spraying it on and I think its lovely!

It was quite clear that after having success in the fragrance market, the Beckhams would bring out more and more perfumes. Abandoning their Intimately range, the Beckham: Signature range was brought out though still following the same pattern of having one for men and another for women. Seeing as I had liked both of Victoria Beckham's previous scents I put Signature for Women down on my Christmas list without even having a tester to sniff.
The Beckham: Signature for Women is still currently available to buy in the shops and ranges between £13.00 and £20.00 for 30ml and 50ml bottles respectively. It is also worth having a look on eBay to try and get hold of the bigger bottle a little cheaper.
I really liked the box this perfume came in. It was a tall box in a deepish purple colour with oriental looking flowers embossed in a shinier card material on the top left hand corner. The flowers were a darker purple and show up nicely against the purple of the box. In the centre of the box there is a silver box which looks like a square silver plate which has been screwed into place though it is card like the rest of the box. On this silver square you have the DVB branding symbol again and "Beckham Signature" printed in purple text to match the colour of the box. I really like the box, it is simple yet pretty, girly but sophisticated.
Inside the box you are greeted with the perfume. I am torn between like and dislike with this bottle. It is tall and rectangular. It is a little bit more like a man's bottle of aftershave in terms of the shape which is why I tend to hover over not liking it much. It has a chunky brushed silver lid which again is very much like a man's lid. Around the neck there is a silver square which follows this whole men's aftershave look. The rest of the bottle is clear and square. It is see through and the liquid of the perfume is purple. On the back of the bottle, inside it, there are some deep purple flowers which are the same as the ones on the front of the box. This adds a feminine touch to the bottle. In the middle of the bottle there is metail silver tag which is the same as the one on the front of the box. The bottle is very plain but very masculine aside from the flowers inside the bottle.
The perfume has scent notes of anis flower, candy apple, vanilla, exotic orchid, helitrope, patchouli, amber and musk. This scent is very fruity and the notes of the apple are very present. The apple mixed with the floral notes is very interesting and creates a feminine scent. The florals are more of a background set of scents to the apple. The scent is not too fruity or floral as it has the musk and patchouli to balance it out and it creates a sweet yet not too sweet scent. It is very nice. It is a very fashionable scent.
I always get lots of compliments when I wear this perfume and nobody ever seems to believe me when I say it is a Victoria Beckham scent. I think there is a stigma attached to celebrity endorsed perfumes! It has great staying power, much more so than the Intimately range. I find that Signature lasts from the moment I put it on to the moment I get in the bath at night so it is excellent value for money as because you do not need to use loads of the perfume, it really lasts.
Definately recommended - the only let down is the design of the bottle which I think could be alot better and alot more feminine.
Signature by Victoria Beckham is my favorite perfume out of my whole collection. I was given this perfume as a present a while back and loved it the moment i smelt it. I found the perfume to be long lasting and is great for both day and night occasions. It isn't a very overpowering scent which is what i like about it. It's suttle yet noticeable.
The packaging is very pretty and it looks great on a dressing table or wherever you choose to place it. You also get quite alot of the product so it dosen't go straight away like some perfumes. This definitely makes it worth the money.
The scent itself is quite a floral smell yet it's also very sweet smelling which is lovely. It's an ideal product for teens (such as myself) and young ladies.
In most drugstores the 30ml bottle is priced at around £23- 25 pounds. I think this is actually a decent price for this perfume. Overall a lovely product which would be a great gift for young girls and women!
I have to say I am not a fan of celebrity perfumes in general, however I am pleasantly suprised by this, mainly because I am amazed at how similar the smell is to Calvin Klein Euphoria but significantly cheaper by at least £15 for the same sized EDT bottle. I don't know whether this similar smell was planned or not but it is uncanny and when I highlighted it to the women in Boots she agreed with me. The smell is a sweet smelling musk like smell that is not too heavy for day or evening wear. What is suprising is that the smell also lasts too, although towards the end of the day it isn't as strong as Euphoria is, although if you layer it with the body lotion it does seem to last longer.
I would definitely give it a go as a very cheaper alternative in the first instance. I would actually buy this again instead of Euphoria.
I received a bottle of Beckham Signature for Women as a Christmas present. Unfortunately it was not the fragrance that I had originally wanted. I had tried a fragrance in Boots and loved it and had checked out the name and committed it to memory. However my memory wasn't all that good and I had actually wanted Beckham Signature Story, I had not realised there were two fragrances with such similar names. I tend to only have one bottle of fragrance on the go at any one time and I had just finished my last bottle on Christmas Day (excellent timing!) so knew that I would have to try this out immediately.
I am not interested in the celebrity culture at all and so I would not be drawn to the Beckham name, in fact it would usually have me running in the opposite direction. I had only come across the other fragrance by chance when an assistant in Boots had sprayed some for me without me realising which one she had picked up at first. I don't know if we are supposed to believe that Victoria Beckham walks round her house wearing this, personally I just take it as another item in their money-making empire. However, there was still a bottle sitting on my bathroom shelf so it was not going to go to waste.
The perfume is presented in a metallic purple coloured box with an embossed design of what I think are orchids. Silver is the highlight colour used for the top and bottom of the box and for the writing. The ingredient list is on the back but I will not copy it out here. If you want further details then try
The product is made in Spain and is produced by Coty, an enormous company with many of the top names in fragrance associated with them.
The box also says that the product should be discarded 3 years after opening. Personally I keep my fragrances out of the box and I know they are degraded by light so I certainly wouldn't keep it that long.
I have the 30ml bottle which retails at about £22 at the moment although there are usually good offers on the internet.
The box is quite deceptive in size, the bottle is only 4.5cm wide but the box has cardboard filler on one side and is 7cm wide, very crafty!
The bottle itself is in quite heavy glass. It actually looks and feels solid and it would not be knocked over easily. The orchid design is repeated across the back of the bottle. The square, silver lid is a pull off design to uncover the spray. When affixed properly it gives a reassuring "click" so that you know it is in place.
I opened the bottle and gave myself a couple of squirts. I was immediately hit by a rather strong fruity fragrance. I was not at all keen on this, my daughter has a very apple-based fragrance and although I think it smells ok I wouldn't wear it, this smelt very similar to me.
Luckily after a couple of minutes this fruitiness disappeared. I believe they are called the "top notes" but I am not too sure. I was then left with a much more pleasant fragrance. It was a little more floral, I could understand the orchids on the packaging now, with vanilla thrown in as well. I liked this very much and there was also a hint of musk which was nice. I am not keen on very musky fragrances but this had just enough to make it feel adult and a little sensual without feeling like I was attracting all the tomcats from around the neighbourhood!
The fragrance lasted reasonably well. I always find it hard to tell if my fragrance has worn off as you get used to the smell. I ended up having to ask my daughter how well it was lasting. If I put it on in the morning it was still slightly in evidence on me by mid afternoon and I could smell it on my coat when I put it on to come home from work later.
Overall I have been pleasantly surprised by this fragrance. I like it far more than I expected to when I first sprayed it as the fruity smell disappeared quite quickly. The scent is almost powdery in the day which I really like as it feels fresh without being citrus based. I think the bottle looks classic and simple on the shelf and the price seems fair for the longevity of the fragrance. Although this was not my original choice I will happily be finishing the bottle!
